My inspiration in pursuing a career in the management developed at a very young age. Throughout

subject which will help me understand organisational behaviour, motivate and influence others, as
well as become a leader in the business World. Belonging from a state which has a high percentage

Like what Intrigued by the vast career options, innumerable opportunities to work across sectors, and a chance

the commerce stream. During the study, I had subjects like business studies, accountancy which
included three sections- Accounting for NPO and partnership firms, Accounting for companies and

Accountancy as a subject has helped me enhance the fundamental comprehension about the nature
and purpose of the accounting Information and its utility in the conduct of business operations.
Since it is a more practical subject, I was very clear with my fundamentals which helped me get

investments were very strange to me and sounded very convoluted until I studied about them in the

Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Microeconomics which is the study of individuals,
households and firms' behaviour in decision making and allocation of resources. It generally applies
to market of goods and services and deals with individual and economic issues. Macroeconomics, on
the other hand, is a branch of economics that studies how an overall economy (the market or other
systems that operate on a large scale) behaves. It studies economy wide phenomena such as price
levels, inflation, rate of economic growth, national income, gross domestic product (GDP) and

Apart from academics, during my high school education I was also a part of an activity club where
we had regular meetings with international students of Japan. We frequently interacted with them
through visual meetings reciprocating stories, talking on festivals, food items, etc. This significantly
contributed to my cultural competency, communication skills and critical thinking ability. We also Networking
had a session called 'Global Village' as a part of our school MUN in which I had hosted a meeting skills
with students of Uganda. Through an online meeting they shared about their traditional dance
forms, prepared their tradition food items, talked about their culture and many more. It was an
overwhelming experience and has considerably evolved my organising, time management,
communication and problem-solving skills.

My interest in choosing Bachelors of Commerce as my Undergraduate course is based on my keen
interest in this field and also because I have an opportunity to choose among the various career
alternatives it has to offer. Earning a degree in this field is an evidence of persistence, determination,
