Teaching English as a Second Language

Welcome to the Group Project Component of Teaching English as a Second Language!

This group project is designed to foster collaboration and integrate diverse skills to create an
effective and comprehensive ESL lesson plan. Each member of your group will assume a
specific role, with distinct responsibilities that contribute to the development and presentation
of your final project. It is crucial that every member actively participates, both during the
planning stage and in the final presentation. Below, you will find detailed descriptions of
each role to help you understand your duties and coordinate efficiently with your team. While
the roles outlined above are essential, feel free to assign additional responsibilities as needed
to enhance your project. These suggested roles represent core responsibilities, but you are
encouraged to customize and expand upon them to best fit your group's strengths and the
specific requirements of your lesson plan.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Each group will have a total of 10 minutes for their presentation. It is mandatory for EVERY
member to actively participate in the speaking/presenting portion of the project. This ensures
a well-rounded presentation and demonstrates teamwork. You can strategically allocate
segments of the presentation among team members; for instance, one person can introduce
the topic, another can conclude, while others may explain different sections such as learning
objectives/expected outcomes, assessment strategies or any models such as Bloom’s
Taxonomy used in the lesson plan.
