Activity #1:

Search on the internet and identify the examples of office suites that is commonly
used in the businesses nowadays and determine what are the applications that is included
in its package.

Important information should include the following:

1. Name of office suite or package


2. Short background of the company/developer.
3. Description of the office suite.
4. Details about each application included in the package.
5. The purpose of each application.

The Microsoft Office Suite is a package of office productivity


software released by Microsoft and is available for Microsoft
Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
Microsoft Word is a word processing program that allows for the creation of both
simple and complex documents. With Office 365, you are able to download the
application to your hard drive and will also have access to the online version. The
online version gives you the capability to share and collaborate with others on your
files

What Is a Macro in Excel? An Excel macro is an action or a set of actions that can be recorded,
named, saved and executed as many times as required and whenever desired. By using macros,
we are able to automate repetitive tasks associated with data manipulation and data reporting
that must be accomplished repeatedly.

Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful slide show presentation program. It is a standard component


of the company's Microsoft Office suite software, and is bundled together with Word, Excel, and
other office productivity tools. The program uses slides to convey information rich in multimedia.

OneNote is a digital notebook that automatically saves and syncs your notes as you work. Type
information in your notebook or insert it from other apps and web pages. Take handwritten notes
or draw your ideas. Use highlighting and tags for easy follow-up.

Microsoft Outlook is the preferred email client used to send and receive emails by accessing
Microsoft Exchange Server email. Outlook also provides access contact, email calendar and task
management features.
Microsoft Access is a relational database management system (RDBMS) that provides a
graphical user interface for creating and managing databases.

The publisher is a useful software program used for desktop publishing. It allows you to operate
characteristics such as page size, text, graphics, and borders. Publisher's strong points are in its
ability to bring altogether text and pictures to make professional-looking flyers, brochures,
handouts, and newsletters.
