Assignment - Let's go shopping!

Hello everybody!
Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. Read the instructions
below. Remember that if you need to review a topic, you can always check the
course material as many times as you need. Keep in mind that you have to
present this task during week 13.

1. Learning Outcome
Through this activity, students ask for and give information about products in a
shop using the grammar and vocabulary learned in the unit.

2. Description

 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs or groups of 3)


 Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
 Step 3: Prepare a 3 to 4 -minute dialogue with your group.

o Situation: Imagine you are a salesclerk at a shop. Choose a


shop (electronics, clothes, shoes, hardware store, etc.) of your
preference. Your partner(s) need to buy some products from
that shop.
They ask for information about the products they need and you
give them information.

Student A is the seller and he/she answers Student B´s and


C's questions.
Students B and C are the shoppers who ask for information.

o Content:

Vocabulary and expressions from Unit 3 (Weeks 10-13)


Expressions: Can you help me, please?/I´m looking for…/Do
you offer a discount?/ Cash or credit?
Numbers/colors/ size/ products sold at shops/prices
How much is / are
Present Simple: Affirmative and negative sentences,
Yes/ No and Wh- questions
 Step 4:

o Practice the dialogue with your group.


o Practice your dialogue at a slow pace paying attention to the
pronunciation and intonation.

o Remember to transmit your personal emotions as in a real


situation.

 Step 5: Once you are ready, record yourselves in multimedia on the virtual
platform or upload your video in Youtube /Drive and share the link in a Word
format on the platform.

 Step 6: Use the following structure:


o Cover: Your names and last names must be there. Include your photos.
There are 2 options to do it: (Choose one)

o Option 1: Insert the cover in your video, if you record it on the virtual
platform.
o Option 2: Insert the cover in a Word format with the YouTube link/Drive
link.

• Number of participants: 2 - 3
• Format: Multimedia or Word format with Youtube/ Drive link.
• Length of the Video: 3 -4 minutes
• Channel: Online - Delivery in the virtual platform.
• Cover: your names and last names must be there, include your
photos.
• Deadline: Sunday of Week 13
