    Hello everyone, Today our team will talk about Hard disk drive-one of the most
    important in your computer that stores all your digital data.
    I. What is it ?? (First)
    A. Hard disk drive is a storage device used in computers and other electronic
    devices to store data.
    B. We have 2 types of storage:
    1. Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is a traditional storage device that contains
    spinning platters coated with magnetic material. A moving read/write head
    accesses the data on these platters.
    HDDs are best for storing large amounts of data cost-effectively. They’re
    great for backups, storing media files, and serving as secondary storage in a
    computer. However, because of their moving parts, they are slower than SSD, and
    performance can suffer with heavy tasks like gaming or media editing.

    2. Solid-State Drive (SSD): is modern storage device that use flash memory
    to store data, with no moving parts. They use NAND flash technology, making
    them faster and more durable than HDD.
    SSDs offer very high read and write speeds, significantly improving boot
    times and load times for applications. They’re ideal for running operating systems,
    gaming, and other tasks that benefit from quick access speeds.

    3. Flash Storage (USB Drives, Memory Cards): Flash storage includes USB
    drives, SD cards, and other small devices that use flash memory, making them
    highly portable and compact.
    It’s best for transferring files between devices, as well as storing files on
    devices like cameras, smartphones, and tablets. Flash storage is ideal for portable,
    temporary storage due to its small size.
    4. Optical Storage (CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays): Optical storage uses discs to
    store data, which is read by an optical drive. These include CDs, DVDs, and Blu-
    ray discs. What Can It Do? Optical media is excellent for long-term storage and
    archiving. They’re commonly used for distributing media (movies, software) and
    storing backups. However, their capacity is limited compared to other storage
    types.
