Floor Plan Instructions

1. Type un to open the drawing units tab and change the units to feet. Change the type to
architectural and precision to 0’0” then press the okay button.
2. Create layers for bed, blocks, doors, windows, dimensions, hatches.
3. On the orthomode for a more convenient drawing of the lines.
4. Type line and create and 8’x8’’ square for the bedroom. On the right side of it, create two 10’x8’
rectangle for the living area and dining area. A 10’x6’ rectangle at the bottom for another
bedroom. On top, 10’x2’6” for the kitchen.
5. Offset the all the rectangle by 2” for the wall.
6. Make a 2”x2” square for pillars. Make it a block, copy it 10 times and move it in the corners of
bedrooms, living area and dining area.
7. Create a door with 2’ and 6” length and make it a block. Make 3 copies of it.
8. Create a window same length of the door and make it a block. Make 6 copies of it.
9. Create 4’x4’ square for the toilet using line command.
10. Offset it by 2”
11. Create a 1’6” door and make it a block.
12. Press CTRL 2 to open the design center tab.
13. Click en-us, design center and then house designer. Click the blocks and take the toilet with top
view. In the home space planner, take the square woodgrain table and entertainment center. In
the kitchens dwg folder, take the single sink and the single handle faucet.
14. Put all the blocks in their appropriate places.
