I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1.1 OVERVIEW

The students of Parang High School, nowadays are

too busy with their school works, activities, and their

own personal life, that they do not even have the time to

prepare meals for themselves that they often skip their

breakfast before going to school. Moreover, most of the

students also des not bring their own lunch packs, which

makes them rely on unhealthy snacks or food with low

nutritional values like, junk foods and processed foods

in order for the students to be able to get through the

day, wherein not only are they sacrificibng their health

but, also their academic performance. And with that, the

proprietors thought of a way to minimize students eating

unhealthy foods, and incorporate a healthy option to

their snacks, And according to a study conducted by

Fernandez et al.,(2020) “School age is an important time

to develop healthy eating and physical activity habits,

which improve the feeling of well-being by more

successfully developing school activities and reducing

the risk of chronic diseases in adulthood”.

Additionaly, to address the problem regarding the

students that are skipping their meals and are consuming

food with low nutritional value, the proprietors have

come up with the idea of creating Mori Delights, a snack

that is rich in potassium, vitamin C, calcium, protein,


iron, and amino acids, which are beneficial to the health

of consumers. The production and distribution of healthy

snacks among students of Parang High school focuses on

minimizing unhealthy food consumptions and give them the

opportunity to eat nutritious snacks. According to the

study conducted by Hossein Masoomi et al., (2020)

“Consumption of snack and breakfast had a beneficial

effect on cognitive functions of the students, academic

performance, as well as PA levels. As a result,

Proprietor’s intended to introduce Mori Delights as a

budget friendly, healthy food alternative to snacks with

low nutrition value such as junk foods.

The Mori delights fall under the food industry

functioning as a business innovating a healthy food

option for traditional low nutritional value snacks.

Having an ownership status of partnership in which the

proprietors concurred to have a shared responsibilities

in management and optimization of the business as well as

the willingness of enduring profits or losses as the co-

owners of the company.

1.2 VISION

The vision of the Mori Delights is to be the top

provider of the best, healthy, delicious, and budget-

friendly snacks in Marikina City.


1.3 MISSION

The Mori Delights wants to introduce and provide

an efficient healthy snack, and establish a good and

healthy eating habits amongst its consumers. With a view

to make it possible, the proprietors made an initiative

to create Mori Delights, a healthy food option infused

and filled with moringa that is known to a numerous

amount of benefits.

1.4 GOALS

To formally develop and establish the successful

processes and procedures, the proprietors have to take

aggressive measures and make extensive efforts to win the

trust of the costumers.

Here are some of the goals for the Mori Delights

Short term goals (1 to 2 years)

•To maintain the product's quality.

•To increase the number of costumers or clients.

•To increase the costumer's satisfaction towards the

product.

•To generate income or profit.

•To increase productivity in acquiring ingredients as

well as managing inventory in order to reduce expenses

and uncertain timelines for manufacturing.


Long term goals (3 up to exceeding years)

•To broaden the range of product distribution and expand

the business.

•To achieve and maintain long-term profitability.

•To launch multiple establishments sitewide locally.

•To be well known locally.

•To enlarge the accessibility of product in a broader

market.

•To maintain up-to-date with recent developments and be

able to provide a variety of products that can be widely

advertise.

•To fasten the ties between the business and its

costumers.

•To establish partnerships with major brands and clients.


II. MARKETING PLAN

1.1 PRIMARY DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY TARGET MARKET

The primary target market for Mori Delights,

geographically, are individuals who reside, work, or

study in the City of Marikina, particularly those located

near the premises and within the vicinity of Parang High

School. The students from the mentioned academic

institution offers a convenient avenue for selling Mori

Delights among peers, school personels, and teaching

staffs. Furthermore, in consideration of demographic

segmentation, the target market includes the learners,

staffs, and teaching personel of Parang High School.

Hence, the proprietors of Mori Delights aims to sell its

product within the age range of 11 to 65 years old. Mori

Delights offers a convenient, healthy snack that can be

eaten anywhere whilst doing something. Furthermore, in

terms of behavioral segmentation, it would be favorable

to those that are health conscious particularly, those

who are looking for a healthy snack alternative to

unhealthy foods, as well as those are willing to spend a

reasonable amount for a good quality food products.

Lastly, psysiological segmentation, the cost of Mori

Delights products aligns and suits the budget of the

target market. And caters customer's wants to o explore a

healthier snack and incorporate it to their meals.

From the information depicted in the given pie

chart, the following data showcases the market share of

Marikeños most specifically those who are near the Parang

High School. Furthermore, from the data collected that is

shown through the use of pie graph, that there are 3 most

preferred food businesses. First, the business who have

garnered the most shares from the survey is the Fibisco

with a percentage of 37.2% out of 100%. The 2nd most

preferred on the list is the Genesis Hot pandesal with

the market share of 22.0%, and lastly is the Jack 'n Jill

which has 20.6% of the market share.The ascendancy of

Fibisco in the business market share is attributable to

its comprehensive product offering. By providing a wide


array of snacks, cookies, and biscuits, Fibisco caters to

the diverse preferences of consumers across age Groups.

2.4.1.1 CORE PRODUCT

Mori Delights offers various health benefits from

its main ingridient which is a moringa. According to Keri

(2023) moringa oleifera "malunggay" is a plant that grows

not only in tropical countries but also in sub-tropical

counties. Moringa contains numerous amount of vitamins

and minerals including potassium, vitamin C, calcium,

protein, iron, and amino acids that focuses on heart

functions, enhamcing immune system, and in building

muscles. Moringa oleifera is an essesntial source of

carbohydrates, phenolic compounds, and phytosterols that

serves asa anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory (Paula et

al., 2021). Moringa Oleifera, an important ingridient of

Mori Delights, contains anti oxidants that can lower

blood pressure, and reduce body fat. Mori Delights a

home-baked cookies offers a delicious, healthy snack

alternative with great amount of benefits, that opens an

opportunity for consumersa to improve their food

nutitional value.

Mori Delights cookie is a home-

baked cookie made with flour,

butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla,

chocolate chips to modify the

flavor, and the main ingridient which is the choppesd

moringa leaves and baked until cooked. offers a round

cookie with a soft golden brown exterior with some greens

from the chopped moringa leaves, each cookie has a size

ranging around 2.5 inches and weights around 15 grams.

The Mori Delights cookie has a soft chewy texture. The

cookie has a sweet, buttery taste with an earthy green

flavor from the moringa.
