to Gulm a rg

This day is reserved for local sightseeing of Gulmarg Discovered by the

Kashmiri romantic poet in the 16th century who was inspired with its
grassy slopes covered with wildflowers. In winter Gulmarg looks more
beautiful due to heavy snow fall. And turns into India's premier Ski
resort in winter. The Gondola Cable Car (optional) offers rides to the
upland meadows of Kongdori and beyond to the top of Apharwat range
to a height of 14000 ft for viewing the Himalayan Peaks in summer and
for downhill skiing in winter. The cable car ride takes place in two
levels/stages. Phase I: from the Gulmarg resort to Kongdori Station
(2600 m) in the bowl-shaped Kongdori Valley which takes 9 minutes to
reach.
Phase II: from Kongdori Station to Kongdori Mountain (3747 m), the
shoulder of Apharwat Peak which takes 12 minutes and later you
can visit the largest and highest 18-hole golf courses in India, the
Gulmarg Golf Course is situated on the lower ranges of
Gulmarg. And also visit Maharani T emple – One Of The Oldest T

to Sonamarg

Sonamarg is located at a distance of 81kms from
Srinagar . The name Sonamarg signifies 'the meadow of
gold got its name from its snow-clad mountains that
reflects the magical views of the cerulean sky. On the
way we stop at many beautiful spots. Continue drive to

horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round
the year and Sonmarg is known as Gateway of Ladakh
