Why study in the UK?
1. The UK is one of the top 3 higher education in the world which provides top-class
academic resources along with the latest academic curriculum, applied
knowledge, and hands-on learning systems.
Alternative Answer: UK universities' qualifications are respected and valued by major
employers in the world due the modern teaching system, research excellence, cutting
technology and resources.
For example - workshops, seminars, case studies,small tutorials, events, short-term

internships and so on are applied in the teaching systems and assessment methods by
the UK universities.
2. UK’s Education systems are regularly inspected by QAA (Quality Assurance Agency,
TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework), and REF (Research Excellence Framework)
to ensure the quality of education as best.
3. The geographical location of the UK made it an ideal and popular destination to the
international students and easy access with European countries allows international
students for field trips, industrial visits, short-term study exchanges organised by
UK’s university for achieving global experience and a global professional network.
4. Studying in the UK is beneficial in terms of time and cost due to the affordable range
of tuition fees and duration of the degrees.
5. The UK is a safe, trusted and popular place to study for ambitious students
from around the world due to a diverse range of culture, excellency in research
and education.
For instance- In the latest QS world university ranking 2025, where about 15
universities of the UK ranked in the top 100. On the other hand, 9 universities in
Australia and 4 Canadian Universities managed in the top 100.

are expected and valued by the employers.
2. My home countries’ organizational structures are mainly existist similar to UK’s since
the period of colonialism; Therefore, employers are more comfortable with UK
graduates
Why study in the UK apart from other countries/ other destinations?
Ans: I have preferred the UK than other destinations due to several specific factors
- Firstly, Teaching and assessment methods of UK’s universities focus on practical and
industry oriented methods through workshops, seminars, case studies,small tutorials,
events and so on. In contrast, the Australia and Canadian universities focus on
research papers, assessments and oral presentations mainly.
- UK universities encourage specific guidance, focus on independent research and
critical analysis for assessment. On the other hand , the USA and Canada provide
limited guidance and emphasis on course completion.

- Beside, the geographical location of the UK made it an ideal and popular destination
to the international students and easy access with European countries allows
international students for field trips, industrial visits, short-term study exchanges
organised by UK’s university for achieving global experience and a global
professional network.
In contrast, The US, Canada, and Australia are geographically isolated compared to the UK
which can make travel costs higher for international students from Asia, Europe, Middle East
and Africa.
- The UK provides better value for investment in higher education as the degree can be
finished quicker which means starting a career early and return on investment quicker.
- Studying in the UK will be more convenient and supportive than Australia, the USA,
and Canada as Notable number of South Asian communities including Bangladesh are
living in London and other parts of the UK.
- In terms of research excellence , standard of education, and international exposure,
the UK's education system is more advanced than Australia and Canada. For example-
in the QS world universities ranking 2025 where about 15 universities of the UK
ranked in top 100 while only 9 universities of Australia and 4 Canadian Universities
managed in top 100.
Alternative answer: Academic excellence, quality of research in education, modern and

innovative teaching environment made the UK’s education standard one step ahead of other
destinations. In the QS world universities ranking 2025, 15 universities of the UK ranked in
top 100 while from Australia only 9 and from Canada only Universities managed in top 100.
Q. Why are you not studying this course in your home country and going to the UK?
Answer:
- The UK education system is practice-based through seminars, group works,

presentations & assessment based.
- In Bangladesh, institutions follow old traditional systems where the education system
is memory-based and Curriculums are not updated with the latest developments
- By studying in Bangladesh, I will have the opportunity to meet and share my
experience with only home students. On the other hand, studying in the UK will allow
me to create more international experience and a global professional network as more
than 200 countries students come to the UK for higher education.
- In Bangladesh, apart from a few exceptions, Virtual Learning environments and
academic support, and free access to resources and materials are not available in
higher education institutions like UK universities.
