1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
3. Refer to "LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS " and lift vehicle with suitable lift.
4. Engine "ON".
5. Operate vehicle or system in accordance with Enable Condition in DTC Detecting Condition.
6. Monitor selected parameters shown below in "Current Data" with GDS.

System Inspection
Visual Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Refer to "AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) LEVEL CHECK " and check for following conditions:
1. Correct ATF Level and Type.
2. Any damages on A/T.
3. Measure oil pressure of each solenoid oil line by using oil pressure gauge.
3. Has any problem been found?
YES
Refer to "Shop Repair Document" and repair or replace as necessary and then go to " Verification Of Vehicle
Repair" procedure.
NO

Wiring Inspection
Terminal And Connector Inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,
and/or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?

Component Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
3. Ignition "ON".
4. Perform "Shift Control Solenoid Valve (UD/B)" and "Shift Control Solenoid Valve (2-6/B)" in "Actuation Test" with
GDS.
5. Monitor "Shift Control Solenoid Valve (UD/B)" and "Shift Control Solenoid Valve (2-6/B)" parameters in "Current Data"
with GDS.

Verification Of Repair
Verification Of Vehicle Repair
After a repair, it is essential to verify that the fault has been corrected.
1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC), and monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)".
2. Clear all DTCs in the system with GDS.
3. Operate system or vehicle within DTC detecting condition in DTC Detecting Condition chart.
4. Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" with GDS and verify that any DTC is stored.
5. Are any DTCs stored in the system?
YES
Go to applicable troubleshooting procedure.
NO
Problem is corrected and the system operation performs to specification at this time.
