INTRODUCTION
Micro: A Gateway to the Next Generation of

Microtechnology
The rapid advancements of our technology

have spiked up throughout the decades, the
development of many innovative tools that
are enhance computational capabilities across
various sectors. One of the new inventions are
the IMicro, this device is very innovative in
many different ways. IMicro is a type of
microscope but more advanced, very
convenient and portable, why? Because this
device is 3 times smaller than the professional
microscope that is used in science

laboratories, it is fingertip sized meaning you

can bring it anywhere you go and you can use
it anytime you want. The IMicro is a huge
step-up in our technology and very helpful for
the people that can’t afford the professional
microscope and only have phone, because the
IMicro don’t need many parts or accessories
to use, just put it in your phone and you are
ready to go.
The IMicro is very successful because of

many reasons and in this research, we are
going to tackle all of the advantages and
disadvantages of the device, from the ups and
downs of having the fingertip size device. We
hope that after this research you will learn the

possible outcome of having this device and

how can you use it properly. To start
everything let’s go to the advantages of
having the IMicro device.

Advantages and Opportunities
Light microscopy, a vital tool in contemporary

cell biology, is perfect for imaging biology in
living cells due to a number of properties.
Among these are:
Easy to use — Portable microscopes are user-

friendly and accessible to anyone, as they
require little training and experience to
operate.
Cost-effective: Due to their lower cost

compared to other microscopes, such as
electron microscopes, which can reach
several thousand dollars, portable

microscopes are a great choice for

educational institutions, research initiatives,
or institutions with tight budgets. Some

excellent examples can be had for as little as
$100, and good ones can be had for
comparatively little money. Finding
replacement parts is simple and inexpensive.
Light microscopes are helpful in
underdeveloped nations because of their low
cost.
This makes them well-suited to quickly

detecting the pathogen-causing organisms in
outbreaks. One compact, battery-operated

microscope designed specifically for this use

is the Global Focus model.
This is an inverted brilliant field and

fluorescence microscope that can be
produced for about USD 240 and has a 1000x
magnification. It is proving to be particularly
helpful in the identification of Mycobacterium
TB from sputum smears, a frequent disease in
developing communities.
Space-Portable microscopes don't take up

much room in the laboratory because they are

typically compact. Multiple microscopes can

be set up in areas with limited space, allowing
research to be conducted concurrently as part
of a larger effort.
Easy to transport: These microscopes require

less money and effort to set up and use in the
field because they are lightweight and
portable. They are therefore particularly
suitable for field research, such as
establishing mobile labs in areas where
outbreaks are occurring.

Non-perturbing: Living cells can be

photographed for extended periods of time
due to the non-destructive nature of light
used to observe cellular structures. Thus,
these microscopes can be efficiently used to
study cell dynamics.
