INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS (MID OF YEAR 2024)
● Reporting time will be 8:45 am. However, if you do not have a paper in the first slot, you should
carefully follow the exam starting time for the second session paper.
● Paper timings will be followed religiously. Students arriving late will not be allowed any extra time.
● Students must leave their bags and all other reading material outside and carry only stationery, in a
transparent case, inside the exam room.
● Sharing of stationery, calculators and/or geometric devices is prohibited. Students are strongly
encouraged to come well equipped for their exams.
● Once in the examination room, students will not be allowed to indulge in any verbal or non-verbal
communication with fellow students. A decision taken at the discretion of the invigilator in any such
situation will be considered final and can result in the cancellation of the paper on the spot.
● Students must sit in their allotted seats and adhere to the seating chart displayed.
● Once the paper is placed in front of the students, they must refrain from opening it till they are
told to do so by the invigilator.
● Before starting the exam, students should read the subject and grade mentioned on the cover
sheet and confirm that they have the correct paper.
● In case an extra sheet is required, students are to raise their hand and wait for the invigilator to
come to them.
● In case of any confusion in the paper, the students are encouraged to attempt it to the best of their
ability and understanding. Invigilators will not address any concerns regarding the content of the
question paper.
● Students should, however, feel free to bring to the invigilator’s attention if they are feeling unwell
or are experiencing any discomfort.
● Students should arrange their papers in order for fastening 15 minutes prior to the time the paper
ends.
● Students will NOT be allowed to leave the examination room till the exam time is over.
● Break time in between papers: Students will remain seated inside the exam room in a 15 minute
break.

● They must report back 5 minutes prior to the starting time for the next exam.
● Students are allowed to leave after their scheduled papers for the day that has ended.
