Mr. Vanwinkle
The purpose of this project was all about creating our own dream room by sketching/ measuring
the size of objects when designing, using Tinkercad to actually build our design, then lastly print it with a
3D printer. The initial design was very unrealistic. There were swimming pools, basketball courts, circular
My dream room was based on hotels. In some good hotels, there are swimming pools, huge TV,
fancy closets, and basketball courts. I wanted all of them in one room which made me feel very special
and felt like a dream. Also, I tried to use some fake walls to make another space in the room such as
bathroom, swimming pool, and a bar. It made my room look more fancy and can include lots of things in
one room.
My design totally changed from the initial design. As I mentioned above, my initial design was
very unrealistic and complicated to make it in Tinkercad. Instead, I decided to start over. I made my room
semi-movie theater style. I made all the colors dark so that it was similar to an actual movie theater, a

As I mentioned above, I literally changed my entire design to a design that can perfectly print it
out. One part that I’m proud of is that my design is simple and easy to print, but added all the elements
Reflection:
I learned how to write, follow the engineering process, and writing a strong portfolio. Skills such
as writing and writing a portfolio can help in any subject, and help my entire life. Also, engineering
process could help in my next few years in my AP classes and Pre-AP Biology right now.
