2 This is a COMMERCIAL PREVAILING WAGE Project: Please base your bid on the higher of State and Federal Commercial Prevailing Wages. 3 Adhere to Davis-Bacon HUD Section 3, MBE/WBE, and local labor wage requirements 3a Section 3, MBE/WBE/DBE/DVBE Goals: The bid documents include Section 3 and other contracting/hiring goals that all bidders will be responsible to familiarize with and account for in its proposal. Section 3 forms included with the bid documents are required to be completed and accompany each bid. 4 PLA: This project is NOT subject to a PLA 5 Bonding: Subcontractors with a contract value of $250,000 or more will require a Performance & Payment Bond. Please provide us your bond rate if this applies to you. 6 RFI's: All RFI's are due on June 2nd, 2022. 7 BID's: All Proposals's are due on June 16th, 14th 2022 at 5PM. 8 PROJECT SCHEDULE: Please reference project schedule included in the bid documents posted to BidMail 9 OCIP: There will be an Owner Controlled Insurance Program. Bids should exclude GL insurance. 10 Additional Insurance: The cost of Offsite General Liability, Workers Compensation, Automotive, Professional Liability Insurance (for D/B trades only) shall be included in your base bid. 11 CAL Green: All CAL GREEN requirements, documentation, and associated costs are included in your base bid. 12 Reports: There are multiple technical reports posted as part of the bid documents, including but not limited to, Soils reports, Envinronmental reports, Cal Green, Logistics etc. 13 Logistics: Bidder is responsible to take into account all necessary costs associated with logistics at the time of bid. This is including, but not limited to, material deliveries, staging, parking, etc. There is very limited room for laydown on this project. 14 Escalation: Your bid will need to include all pricing fluctations between the date of proposal through the duration of your work based on the bid schedule posted as part of the Bid Documents. If you are unable to hold your pricing or there are conditions to doing so, then please advise on specific options and implications (i.e. purchase early and store, LOI by a certain date, shop drawing approval by a certain date, alternate supplier source, increased bid to capture future price escalation, etc.). Some trades may be required to break out the material portion of their proposal. It is critical that we have control of and can anticipate escalating costs – we thank you in advance for assisting us with a strategy to manage this where there are challenges. 15 Bids to include Complete Scopes: Inclusions and exclusions must be clearly identified to convey any deviations from the plans and specs. 16 Value Engineering Your base bid shall be per plans and specs. However, we are looking for Value Engineering ideas for every trade. Please provide a separate line item savings and description with your bid for our analysis. 17 Firestopping: Firestopping to be included by each subcontractor, as needed. MEP subcontractors to include a deductive alternate to remove this scope from their proposal, if needed. 18 Traffic Control: Traffic Control for your work is to be included in your bid. 19 Cranes & Hoisting: There will not be a tower crane on-site. Please include all hoisting for your work in your proposal. 20 Exterior Scaffolding: Cannon will subcontract directly with a scaffolding company for perimeter scaffolding only. Concrete subcontractor and Framer for building must include fall protection at deck edges and openings. All other trade specific scaffolding shall be provided and included within each trade's base bid, including shafts. 21 Street Sweeping and BMP's: Cannon will be providing the standard erosion control rumble plates, rock, etc. on the project. It is each trades responsibility to re-install BMPs they disturb and to provide street sweeping for any vehicles that track soil beyond our project's borders. This shall be included in your base bid. 22 Parking: There is no parking available on site. Subcontractors are responsible for parking costs and transportation for their own workers.
