Physical activities – Children need physical exercises and activities to be strong and
healthy. We should motivate them to play to strengthen muscles and bones as well engage
with peers and enjoy.

Activity 1 Imitate animals

Learning Outcomes and Objectives


Modulate one’s emotions, social development, interaction, learning, sensory motor development. Children actively come forward to
act as an animal and interact with peers. They exchange their views and discuss which brings a positive environment
Procedure- 1.Choose a variety of animals and note their movements.
2. Prepare a jump track. Tell children to move from one corner to other corner enacting as an animal.
Example -Encourage children to hop like a frog, waddle like a penguin, Crawl like a caterpillar, jump like a kangaroo, walk like a bear.
Note – Keep children engaged and stimulate them to use their whole body to stretch and stay active.

Activity 2 Hide and Seek

Learning outcomes – Curiosity, Engagement, Explore, Strengthens gross motor skills, problem solving skills.
Objective – Children move around and search for the object where coordination and involvement takes place.
Procedure- Old traditional play activity, which now can be introduced in the indoors too in a different way.
1. Play music, hide an object from children
2. Ask children to search and gure out where the object is before the music stops.

Activity 1 Senses to explore the properties of Mystery

Learning outcome – Curiosity, Fine motor development, Willingness to Participate, Understands the rules and instructions, spatial
awareness
Method :
1. Make a small group of children to sit quietly.
2. Tuck a variety of objects inside different bags (fruits, cloth, toy, leaves, owers, play different instrument ask them to identify)
3. Call out one child close his eyes with a cloth (Blindfold) and reach the child to the bag and ask to sense and identify the object or
identify the instrument sound.
4. Encourage children to feel, shake, smell and hear to explore and determine what items are there in the front without looking.

Activity 2 Tripod Finger activity

Learning outcome
The grip of holding a pencil when writing comes with the control of index, thumb and middle ngers, which is called the tripod grip.
To develop the tripod grip let us do some activities.
I. Using Blunt-tip Scissors with the supervision of an adult
Fun and Creative Masks – 1. Distribute the dotted masks or draw one on a paper.
2. Now, encourage children to cut on the dotted line of the picture. Color and tie a string.
3. Your favorite mask is ready to wear.
II. Tripod coloring
Place fat color crayons or tell children to hold the crayons in the horizontal position and color
the picture.
Example : Fruit, color the shape, color the sky, mountains and grass.
III.Pick the objects with clips
1. Draw a single dot on one side of the clip (place the thumb) and draw two dots on another side of the clip. (Place index nger and
middle nger).
2. Now, press hold and pick up the objects, transfer them from one box to other and make sure
not to drop between.
IV. Squirt Toys
These are also placed while children have fun bath in pools and tubs. Easily available in market.
Effectively used with tripod ngers.
1. Press the toy in the water and once the water is lled, squeeze on each other and play.
2. These toys make different sounds and children enjoy doing it very well.

Clean Hands, Healthy hands

Why clean Hands?

Rinsing hands is essential as children participate in different activities throughout the day. They often tend to catch cold/ cough quickly
due to change in climate, surroundings and companions.

Necessity of clean hands

1. Germs breed in dirty places. So, we are the carriers to spread cough and cold.

2. Stomach infection is caused due to bacterial and viral infections.

3. Soiled hands give a bad impression while dining with others.

4. “Health is wealth” so we all follow certain actions.

5. Clean hands keep the germs away and helps us to stay away from illness.

Method to keep ourselves clean.

1. Wet your hands, apply soap on both your palms. Scrub in between the ngers for 20 sec thoroughly and rinse with water.

2. Wipe your hands to dry cloth.

3. Use a sanitizer to keep yourself free from germs when unable to wash hands in certain situation.

Table etiquette
Table etiquette is a simple way which we need to follow daily in our life style for health and hygiene. Children imbibe (absorb) when we
share the importance and dive it.
Importance
1.Table manners and rules are something which we need to set it from early days of childhood. So, the habit will last forever.
2. This will help the child in coordination. (Eating the food with spoon)
3. Develops likes-dislikes, self-learning, sharing- caring, spending quality time with friends and family.
4. Awareness in variety of foods.
5. Teacher, Parent are the role models to follow. It is essential to teach children.
Here are few ways
1. Always wash your hands before and after meals.
2. Place a napkin on your lap.
3. Chew and swallow the food.
4. Take small amount of food in your plate without wasting the food.
5. Close your mouth while chewing the food.
6. Do not talk while food is in your mouth.
7. Sit and eat until you complete the meal.
8. Cautious not to spill the food and drinks.
9. Wipe your mouth and hands with the napkin after completing meals.
