**1.

Youth as a national policy**

The fact that youth policy is national means that each EU member state has the primary responsibility
for developing and implementing policies that concern education, health, employment and the rights
of young people. However, the EU has an active role in coordinating and supporting these national
policies to promote the exchange of good practices, cultural diversity and mobility of young people
within the Union.

**2. Objectives and possibilities of Erasmus+**

The Erasmus+ program is among the most popular EU youth initiatives. Its objectives are to support
mobility and educational exchange in the EU by offering training opportunities, internships,
volunteering programs and youth exchanges. The program brings together students, teachers, young
professionals and organizations that participate in projects promoting social inclusion, diversity,
cultural understanding and personal development. The benefits of Erasmus+ are numerous: young
people develop new skills, improve their language skills, build international contacts and develop self-
confidence and adaptability, which are key to personal and professional success.

**3. Benefits from other programs such as DiscoverEU , the European Solidarity Corps and the
European Youth Meeting (EYE)**

- ** DiscoverEU ** offers 18-year-old Europeans the opportunity to get a free ticket to travel in
Europe, with the aim of allowing young people to get to know different cultures and broaden their
view of the continent.

- **European Solidarity Corps** creates opportunities for young people to participate in volunteer
projects and solidarity initiatives, such as supporting socially vulnerable groups and environmental
causes.

- **The European Youth Meeting (EYE)** gathers young people from all over Europe in the European
Parliament, where they can discuss and propose their ideas on the development of the EU, thus
gaining knowledge about the European institutions and the democratic process.

**Your opinion:**

1. **Should the EU continue to create opportunities for young people?**

Yes, the EU should continue to support youth because it is an investment in the future. Mobility,
volunteering and exchange programs create cohesion among young people, help them develop a
global mindset and create a more united and socially responsible Europe.
2. **Is there a need for Erasmus+ in the future?**

Erasmus+ definitely has a future, as even in the digital age personal experiences, cultural exchange
and practical skills acquired through direct work and living in a different environment remain
indispensable. Erasmus+ continues to be a bridge for young people and helps to build a pan-
European identity.

3. **What programs/activities would you suggest to be organized?**

A useful idea would be a program for young entrepreneurs and innovators to support the
development of small businesses and start-ups. It can offer training and support to start a business
related to sustainability, technology or social services. Programs to promote digital and green skills
would also be valuable as these skills become increasingly important in the labor market.

4. **What support do young people in Europe need?**

Young people need mentoring, career guidance opportunities and career development advice. Many
of them also need access to quality education and training, as well as support networks to facilitate
their integration into the labor market.
