S – erve the Lord Faithfully

- “Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your
heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.”
(1 Samuel 12:24)
- “And the Lord said, ‘Who then is the faithful and wise
manager, whom his master will set over his household, to
give them their portion of food at the proper time? Blessed is
that servant whom his master will find so doing when he
comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his
possessions.’” (Luke 12:42-44)

E – ducate yourself about the words of God


- Proverbs 1:5-7
"Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who
understands obtain guidance" and "The fear of the LORD is
the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and
instruction".
- 1 Thessalonians 2:13-14
The word of God is living and active, and it can produce
joyful endurance in suffering, defeat temptation, and set
people free.
- Colossians 3:16
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and
admonishing one another".

- Matthew 28:20
Jesus commands his disciples to make disciples by teaching
all that he commanded them.

R – espect the Lord and His people


- Proverbs 22:4
"Respect the LORD and be humble. Then you will have
wealth, honor, and true life"
- 1 Peter 2:17 – “Show proper respect to everyone, love the
family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.” James
2:8-9 – “If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture,
'Love your neighbor as yourself,' you are doing right.

V – alue the great love and mercy of God.


- John 3:16

A – ctivate always your prayer life

- Philippians 4:6-7
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to
God".
- Ephesians 6:18
"Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert
and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere".
- James 5:16
"The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and
produces wonderful results".

N – urture your faith


- 1Peter 5:8-9
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls
around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that
the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing
the same kind of sufferings.

T – hank the Lord always not yourself


- 10. Psalm 118:1
- Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures
forever.
How can we attain this?

Matthew 16:24: "If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny
himself and take up his cross and follow me"
- Some say that following Jesus means:
- Setting aside selfish interests
- Being willing to endure whatever may come
- Conforming to Jesus' example in living
- Suffering or dying because of faith in Jesus
- Not thinking about yourself
- Deciding that your own life is not important
- Being willing to die on a cross
