OPTIMIZER SUPERVISOR
The Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor powered by the
Niagara Framework® is part of the Optmizer Suite.
It provides server-level functions and supportive
features for a network of HON-9000, HAWK-8000,
EAGLEHAWK NX, Honeywell Optimizer Advanced,
Honeywell Optimizer Unitary, and other field devices.
The Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor serves real-time
graphical information to standard web-browser clients
and performs essential functions such as analytics,
centralized data logging/trending, archiving to external Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor
databases, alarming, dashboarding, system navigation,
master scheduling, database management and
integration with other enterprise software applications.
Additionally, the Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor provides a comprehensive graphical engineering toolset for application
development and configuration. The Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor allows the networking of multiple Niagara-based
controllers such as, HON-9000, HAWK-8000, EAGLEHAWK NX, Honeywell Optimizer Advanced, and Honeywell Optimizer
Unitary controllers. It enables the design, configuration, and maintenance of a unified, real-time control network.

SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SOFTWARE & DRIVERS
Purchase of a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) is A user must purchase the correct part number (see list below)
required with initial Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor licensing. in order to use the software, along with multiple open-protocol
The initial SMA is for 18 months, with extended agreements of IP drivers that are compatible with standard control networks.
3 years and 5 years available for discounted rates. If required, other drivers can be purchased separately. For an
up-to-date list of supported drivers, contact customer support.
If a Software Maintenance Agreement is not in effect for any
period, the price of maintenance for the next period for which it
is purchased will be priced at a cost equal to the maintenance
fee for the period(s) for which maintenance was not purchased,
up to a maximum of 5 years, plus the maintenance fee for the
next year.
ORDERING INFORMATION
Note: The following SKUs will continue to be compatible with Arena NX due to the backward compatibility feature of the
Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor.
Note: Licenses of FOX nodes are indicated by the suffix “N” in the part number
* Request the price to your regional sales manager
• Small building supervisors can be upgraded with additional nodes CLNX-S-1N-UP (SUP-UP-1), CLNX-S-10N-UP (10 x SUP-
UP-1), and CLNX-S-100N-UP (SUP-UP-100).
• If CLNX-S-100N-UP (SUP-UP-100) is used, the model is changed to a CLNX-S-100N (SUP-100) based model and all options
are retained.
• If CLNX-S-UNLN-UP (SUP-UP-UNL) is used, the model changes to a CLNX-S-UNLN (SUP-UNL) based model, and all
options are retained.
Notes:
• Model has switched from CLNX-S-5N to CLNX-S-100N, options retained for added 2 connections and 500 points.
• The SMA is always based on the capacity at the time the SMA is purchased, and will run from the expiry date of any
previous SMA.
• If you do not purchase a maintenance extension, the Supervisor will continue to run, but you will not be able to update your
software with maintenance releases.
• This means that Maintenance Extensions are cumulative and always start when the previous Maintenance Extension ends. If
you purchase additional Maintenance Extensions after you have a gap in your Maintenance period, the Maintenance Extension
will fill those gaps.
Example:
Your initial maintenance has expired for 3 years. Now you purchase a 5 year maintenance extension. Your 3 year gap is filled and
you get another 2 years of maintenance updates. If you immediately add another 1-year maintenance extension, you will benefit
from another 3 years of maintenance updates (if you buy a 5-year SMA and shortly after a 1-year SMA, you will have a total of 3
years because you had a 3-year gap before: 5+1=6; 6 -3 (gap) = 3).
To receive additional maintenance and upgrade features after the initial maintenance license for the base point license expires, you can purchase
one of the above maintenance extensions. Maintenance licenses are always tied to the base version you originally purchased (order numbers
ending with *P.)
To receive additional maintenance and upgrade features after the initial maintenance license for the base node license expires, you can purchase
one of the maintenance renewals listed in the above table.
x = 1;3;5
NOTE:
• Maintenance licenses are always tied to the initial base node versions indicated by the “N” in the part number.
• Any license upgraded to 100 nodes requires the (SUP-100N) maintenance extension.
• Any license upgraded to unlimited nodes requires the UNL maintenance extension.
Note: E-Signature works with all standard Niagara points using only the proxy extension. If an additional connection is used, such as the virtuals,
E-Signature will not support it.
- No support for CBus, Panel-Bus, Onboard IO and BACnet utilities (Native BACnet is supported)
COMPATIBILITY
In any given Niagara system, the Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor must be running the highest version of any Niagara instance
in the architecture.
Existing systems, which have been realized with ARENA NX (an older version of Niagara), can be extended in the usual way with
the Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor SKUs listed in the previous sections.
When connecting to N4-based Controllers that are running older versions of Niagara 4, these compatibility guidelines apply:
• ARENA AX: Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor can connect to controller running ARENA-AX versions 3.8 and higher.
• ARENA NX: Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor can connect to controller running ARENA-NX versions 4.0 and higher.
• R2: Honeywell Optimizer Supervisor can connect to Optimizer Advanced running R2 through the oBIX XML interface only.
