SET 2: A time I felt very lucky was when I won a small prize in a raffle
last month. I was attending an event with my friends, and I never
expected to win anything. When my name was called, I felt both
surprised and excited. The prize was a gift voucher for a nice
restaurant, and I decided to share it with my friends. We had a great
time together, enjoying good food and each other’s company. I felt
lucky because not only did I win, but I was able to spend quality time
with the people I care about. It was a fun and unexpected experience.
SET 3: A time I had to see a doctor was last year when I caught a bad
cold that lasted for several days. It was a very uncomfortable time
because I had a sore throat, a headache, and a high fever. After trying
home remedies for a few days without improvement, I decided to visit
the doctor. The doctor prescribed some medication and advised me to
rest and drink plenty of fluids. This meeting was important because it
reminded me how crucial it is to listen to my body and seek
professional help when I’m not feeling well. I also realized how
important it is to prioritize my health and well-being, especially during
stressful times.
PART 2
SET 1: I don’t agree with the idea that social media is harmful to our
relationships. While it can sometimes cause misunderstandings, it also
allows people to stay connected across distances. Social media helps
us share important moments and keep in touch with friends and family
who live far away. It can even help people find support and advice
from online communities. So, I think the positives outweigh the
negatives if used properly.
SET 2: I disagree with the idea that schools should only teach
academic subjects. While math, science, and language are important, I
think schools should also focus on teaching life skills. These include
things like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Learning
about arts, music, and sports can also help students develop a well-
rounded personality, which is essential for success in life.
SET 4: I don’t think video games are harmful to children. In fact, many
video games can teach problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity.
Some games also help improve hand-eye coordination and cognitive
skills. As long as children play games in moderation and balance them
with other activities, video games can be a positive influence.
SET 5: I don’t agree with the idea that people should always follow the
crowd. While it’s true that we should consider the opinions of others,
we should also think for ourselves. It’s important to have the courage
to make decisions based on our own values and beliefs, even if they
are different from what others expect. Being true to yourself is more
important than fitting in.
SET 7: I don’t agree with the idea that books are outdated in today’s
digital age. While technology has made information more accessible,
books still have an important role in education and entertainment.
Reading books allows us to focus and imagine, and it helps develop our
language skills. Books are also a source of comfort, and many people
still prefer the feeling of reading a physical book over a screen.
SET 9: I don’t think that eating fast food is bad as long as it’s in
moderation. Fast food is convenient, affordable, and can be part of a
balanced diet. It’s not about avoiding fast food completely, but about
making healthier choices when we do eat it. For example, choosing
grilled chicken instead of fried or opting for a salad instead of fries can
make a big difference.
SET 10: I believe that everyone should be responsible for their own
actions. No one can control the choices we make but ourselves. Taking
responsibility for what we do shows maturity and helps us learn from
our mistakes. Blaming others or external factors only prevents us from
growing and improving. We need to accept accountability if we want to
succeed.
