    Vocabulary for Describing People in IELTS Speaking

    1. Describing Appearance
    - General Appearance: attractive, plain, good-looking, gorgeous, handsome, beautiful,
    charming, elegant, neat, scruffy, stylish.
    - Body Shape: slim, slender, fit, athletic, well-built, overweight, plump, chubby, petite, tall,
    short.
    - Facial Features: round face, oval face, sharp features, high cheekbones, freckles, dimples,
    wrinkles.
    - Hair: straight, wavy, curly, bald, blonde, brunette, black, grey-haired, shoulder-length.
    - Eyes: big eyes, small eyes, bright eyes, almond-shaped eyes, blue-eyed, green-eyed.
    - Age-related terms: middle-aged, elderly, youthful, in their teens/twenties/forties.

    2. Describing Personality
    - Positive Personality: friendly, cheerful, kind-hearted, outgoing, generous, thoughtful,
    ambitious, hardworking, confident, sociable, optimistic, reliable, easy-going, patient.
    - Negative Personality: selfish, rude, arrogant, impatient, stubborn, lazy, moody, shy,
    pessimistic, bossy, aggressive, reserved.
    - Neutral/Complex Traits: introverted, extroverted, open-minded, adventurous, cautious,
    creative, down-to-earth, independent.

    3. Describing Relationships
    - Family: supportive, overprotective, strict, affectionate, loving, distant.
    - Friends: loyal, trustworthy, caring, dependable, fun-loving, honest, understanding.
    - Social Interaction: talkative, good listener, sociable, approachable, reserved.
    - Romantic: romantic, devoted, affectionate, committed, passionate.

    4. Describing Actions and Behavior


    - Helpful, caring, hardworking, energetic, responsible, disciplined, spontaneous, ambitious,
    curious, competitive.
    Examples:
    - "She always helps others and is very considerate."
    - "He's quite adventurous, always trying new things."

    Sample Sentences for IELTS Speaking


    1. Appearance:
    - "My best friend is quite tall and slim, with wavy brown hair and a warm smile."
    - "She has a very youthful appearance, even though she's middle-aged."

    2. Personality:
