Narrative Report
Introduction
This narrative report provides a detailed account of the reporting session, conducted on [specific
date]. The purpose of this report is to summarize the activities, discussions, and outcomes,
highlighting key points and recommendations.
Objectives
The main objectives of this report were:
● Highlight the key reasons behind food insecurity, such as climate change, growing
populations, political conflicts, and economic inequalities.
● Examine the current state of global food security by looking at how food is available,
accessible, used, and kept stable across the world
● Emphasizes the necessities for sustainable farming methods, cutting down on food
waste, and better resource management to ensure food supplies last for the future.
Activities Conducted
Preparation:
Our group conducted several preparation meetings to outline the scope of the topic and assign
responsibilities. We also do research and gather information from different reliable sources to
support the discussion. To create PowerPoint presentations, the members agreed to use Canva
for collaboration.
Execution:
The video recording began at exactly 1 pm with dividing the subtopics or the slides to be
discussed. An introduction by Keim Ellise Adrao, Junalyn Cavinta, who explained the objectives,
Jaira, and Jennelyn provided an overview of food security as a global issue.
Challenges Encountered
Several challenges occurred throughout our reporting. One, the quality of our voices to ensure
that it was clear and loud for the audience so they could hear and understand what the content
is; hence we repeated our video recordings many times. The second was our pronunciation of
certain words since they were very difficult in our language. We also had to make last-minute
changes in our PowerPoint presentation due to issues arising from overlapping sounds on our
recording.
Outcomes
The following were the notable results:
1. A very well-structured presentation that actually brought key factors for food insecurity and
proposed actionable solutions.
2. More awareness and knowledge of the need for sustainable agriculture and reducing food
waste.
3. Improvement in coordination and teamwork among the group members, as improved problem
solving and communication skills.
Conclusion and Recommendations
In conclusion, the reporting successfully met its objectives, with active participation and
meaningful outcomes. However, improvements could be made in the following areas:
1. Work on time management and preparation to reduce "last minute" changes.
2. Rehearsals to help improve the pronunciation and voice modulation for better delivery.
3. Testing technical aspects, such as audio and video synchronization, before using the
presentation.
This report serves as a basis for further planning and action to ensure continuous improvement
in similar activities.
