Duration 30 minutes
Present: 3 minutes
● Introduce the use of in/on/at for different situations.
● In: is used when referring to months, years, seasons, parts of the day
● On: is used when talking about days, dates, holidays with “day”
● At: is used when talking about precise time like clock time, holiday
periods
● Each preposition must have an example, which can prompt students to
read other examples.
● Talking about the notes.
Practice: 6 minutes
Exercise 1: 2 minutes
● The teacher shows how to do the exercise, gives students 30 - 45 seconds
to do it on paper, then invites each student to correct each sentence.
Randomly asked the reason for the answers.
● Each correct answer will get 1 candy.
Exercise 2: 4 minutes
● Put the bell in the middle of the class.
● Question 1 is used as an example.
● The teacher shows each question respectively, gives the students a few
seconds to think, then everyone will run to ring the bell to answer. The
fastest one will have the chance to answer.
● For each correct answer, the student who answers will get 1 candy.
● (Note: Keep an eye out for those who regularly ring the bell and those
who don't. Leave the last sentence to “those who don’t” students.)
Production: 4 minutes
● The teacher asks the students to go and ask other students in the class the
given questions, asking and taking notes of their answers. Students have
2 minutes to ask as many people as possible.
● Then the teacher asks who asked the most people and checks that
person's answers.
Wrap-up: 2 minutes
The teacher summarizes the lesson and assigns homework.
