NSHS Dress Code
In an effort to clarify and simplify our dress code, NSHS is providing this informational
packet to help explain and demonstrate what is appropriate dress for school.
 All clothing should be plain, no logos, no writing, no symbols, and no pictures or likenesses
of any kind.
 School colors are, blue, white, and black.
 Polo style shirts in the above colors is the dress code.
 All pants, skirts, or shorts should be khaki, blue, or black
 Work out clothing of any type is not allowable
 No head covering of any type is allowed
 NSHS school logo shirts are in dress code. There is no color restriction on NSHS logo style
shirts
 See the next slides for specific examples of approved and non-approved clothing

NSHS logo shirts can be any color
and or style. All shirts with a NSHS
logo are in Dress code!
NSHS Dress Code
o The following articles of clothing are not in NSHS’ dress code:
 No hoodies, hats, caps, bandanas, or head coverings of any type should be worn on the head. A hoody
style pullover is acceptable if the hood is not pulled over the student’s head. If staff have to repeatedly
ask a student to remover their hood, this style of clothing will be banned for the student.
 Appropriate school shirt colors-this includes hoodies. NSHS’ colors are black, blue, and white
 No clothing should have any writing, logo, or other printed items. All clothes should be plain.
 Jeans, sagging pants, stretch-yoga, workout, wind suit, sweatpants, or other styles fitting this profile
are not in dress code.
 Pants typically have pockets, belt loops, and zippers.
 Students may wear shirts that have NSHS or any of the schools’ approved logos printed on the
item. This is the only exception.
NSHS Dress Code
• Again, NO sweatpants, wind pants, pajama pants, stretch pants, leggings, joggers, tights,
or jeans
o Any one of the following items could constitute out of code pants:
o pants without pockets
o pants that have draw strings
o pants that have elastic on the cuff of the legs, waist, not belt loops, or made of stretch
material.
• no items or clothing with symbols related to drugs, alcohol, adult clubs/magazines,
gangs, violence, or politics should be worn at school or any school event.
• No clothing should have holes or rips.
• Other items, determined by the school leadership team, that are deemed distracting to
educational environment are prohibited.
No logo or writing on clothes. All clothes
