NOTE:
1. The Baud rate with the previous V6 software version is 57.6 kHz (115.2 kHz with the latest V30 version)
2. RS232 communication (with computer and the hyperlink software) is used for software calibration only. J13 jumper should be IN and J3 out for software
calibration via RS232 (MAIN10/DB9‐1).
3. RS485 (MAIN10/J7 or J8) communication (Modbus) is used for digital (remote) control. J13 jumper should be out and J3 IN for digital control.
4. For digital control, PS addresses have to be set (by MAIN10/S1, S2 rotary switches) to 01, 02, 03 based on PS location of in the enclosure (from left to right).
5. J5, J6 are used to set the RS485 communication line impedance (it has to be set between 50Ω and 70Ω for the system).
This setup assumes that ‘Proton’ control’s RS485 output has no terminal resistors. If there are terminal resistors on Modbus master board, remove both J5,
J6 jumpers on PS #1 MAIN10 board.
6. L/R toggle switch (in the electronic compartment) used to switch between Local (4‐key keypad) and Remote control (customer analog control via TBIF
interface connector). That was with V6 version of the software. With the new software version (V30), there is no Local control. With L/R switch in Local
position, the control is switched to digital control via RS485 port (Modbus protocol). L/R Remote position remains the same. It is appropriate to say that
with the new V30 version of software we are dealing with Remote Digital and Remote Analog control.
Note that when switching between Digital and Analog Remote Control the power to the unit has to be recycled (or the MAIN10 board has to be hard‐reset
using S3 push‐button on the board) to activate the newly selected control!
7. The hardware Output Enable/Inhibit control via TBIF/10‐3 customer connector works with analog remote control, but it doesn’t work with digital remote
control. With digital remote control only software Enable/Inhibit (Run/Stop) command works.
8. The hardware AC on/off control via TBIF/22‐24 customer connector works in both analog and digital remote control (there is no software AC on/off
command). Proton P/Ns:
