PREFACE

We are pleased to introduce the proceeding of the Second National Conference

at GEC Siwan entitled “RECENT TRENDS IN MATHEMATICS & COMPUTER
APPLICATIONS (RTMCA) – 2024”. The conference proceeding includes
abstracts/ extended abstracts of research work submitted at the RTMCA-2024.
The scope of interest in the subject matter of the conference was maintained,
ranging from recent innovation in science & engineering. We have received
about 90 competent papers for presentation, out of which 66 papers were
shortlisted for the final presentation. A large number of papers have made us to
divide the presentation into two parallel sessions to provide each paper optimum
time, and also to accommodate all of them within the overall time allocated. The
effort behind the shortlisting has been tremendously toiling and for that we
record our thanks to Organizing Committee and Technical Review Committee for
reviewing the papers. Without their support, the RTMCA-2024 could not have
been organized at such a large scale. We also acknowledge the efforts taken by
the participants, without their input, we would not have been motivated to
organize it. We are also thankful to Dr. Suryakant Singh, Principal, GEC Siwan;
Dr. A. R. Paul (MNNIT Allahabad) Dr. Amit Kumar Verma, (Dept. of
Mathematics, IIT Patna) for their guidance & support in organizing this
conference and assembling the conference proceedings.

We are thankful for the enormous support of GEC Siwan faculties, Conference

-:ABSTRACT:-
Effective techniques for network simulation and embedded software performance analysis of

nodes are necessary due to the growing complexity and low-power limitations of contemporary

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Furthermore, as most WSNs may handle sensitive data and

function in dangerous unattended conditions, security is another crucial aspect that must be

addressed. This study presents a security analysis approach for wireless sensor networks. To

provide security in WSNs, the methodology enables the implementation of attack-aware

embedded software/firmware or attack countermeasures. The suggested approach incorporates

performance analysis (estimating the node's software execution time and power

consumption) along with attacker modelling and attack simulation. A model of an attacker is

suggested following an examination of several WSN attack methods. Three distinct attacker

types that can mimic the majority of WSN assaults are defined under this approach. Furthermore,

a virtual platform that can simulate embedded software, node hardware, and fundamental

wireless channel characteristics is presented in this article. This virtual simulation considers

network deployment and topology while analyzing the behavior of embedded software and node

power consumption. Furthermore, this simulator incorporates the attacker model that was

previously discussed. Thus, it is possible to analyses how attacks affect program behavior and

execution time as well as power consumption. This helps developers create more secure WSN

systems by giving them crucial information about the impact that a single attack or a series of

attacks could have on the network. This paper also introduces an attack-aware embedded

software development process, of which this WSN attack simulator is a crucial component.

-:ABSTRACT:-

This study uses Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques to conduct a thorough analysis of

fluid flow within a 3D model of the human heart, utilizing ANSYS 22R2. The model simulates

realistic blood flow conditions to examine physiological fluid dynamics parameters such as velocity

and pressure under two different pumping conditions: normal pumping and tensed pumping. The focus

is on comparing and analyzing the velocity and pressure profiles in both scenarios. The methodology

incorporates physiological parameters into the heart model and applies rheological models, such as the

Carreau-Yasuda or Casson model, to accurately represent blood viscosity. Physiologically realistic

boundary conditions, including inflow rates and vascular resistance, are also applied, with initial

conditions reflecting the diastolic phase of the cardiac cycle. The study identifies distinct differences in

blood flow behavior, with normal pumping showing smoother flow patterns and lower pressure

gradients, while tensed pumping leads to increased velocities and pressures due to narrowing. These

findings offer valuable insights into cardiovascular biomechanics and have potential clinical

applications for conditions affecting cardiac function.Additionally, the computational nature of this

study helps mitigate the effects of altered myocardial integrity.

Thermodynamics: Foundations and Real-World Applications

Shiwani Srivastava
Department Of Mechanical Engineering, Government Engineering College Siwan,

shiwanisrivastava@gmail.com

-:ABSTRACT:-
Thermodynamics is a pivotal branch of science that explores energy transformations and the

interplay between heat, work, and matter. Rooted in the study of macroscopic systems, it

provides universal principles that govern natural and engineered processes. The subject is defined

by four fundamental laws, each elucidating a key aspect of energy behavior. The zeroth law

establishes the concept of thermal equilibrium, enabling the definition of temperature. The first

law, or the principle of energy conservation, asserts that energy can neither be created nor

destroyed, only converted between forms. The second law introduces entropy, a measure of

disorder, dictating the direction of spontaneous processes and the limits of energy efficiency. The

third law reveals the properties of systems as they approach absolute zero, where entropy reaches

a minimum.

Thermodynamics has far-reaching applications in engineering, chemistry, biology, and

environmental science. It underpins the design of engines, refrigerators, and power plants, while

offering insights into chemical reactions, phase transitions, and biological energy systems.

Beyond its theoretical significance, thermodynamics addresses contemporary challenges,

including energy efficiency, sustainability, and climate change mitigation. In essence,

thermodynamics unifies scientific disciplines by providing a robust framework to understand and

harness energy, driving progress across technology and industry.

-:ABSTRACT:-

Machine Translation (MT) from Sanskrit to English remains a challenging task due to the

syntactic complexity and rich morphological structure of Sanskrit. The relatively free word order

of Sanskrit further complicates the translation process for standard MT models, which often rely

on fixed positional dependencies. This motivates an investigation into methods that make models

more robust to word order variations. In this work, we explore the effectiveness of random

permutation-based data augmentation to address this challenge. By shuffling word order within

Sanskrit sentences, we aim to expose the model to diverse syntactic variations during training,

enhancing its robustness. Using standard transformer-based architectures trained with regular

cross-entropy loss, our approach demonstrates a consistent improvement, achieving an average

chrF++ score gain of 3.15 points on the benchmark dataset, validating the effectiveness of our

proposed methodology.

Muslim University, Aligarh, India
saniyarahman272@gmail.com

-:ABSTRACT:-
Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) are integral components in modern electronic systems,

including communication networks, signal processing applications, and timing circuits. The

ability to precisely control oscillation frequency through a control voltage makes VCOs critical

for applications such as frequency synthesis, phase-locked loops (PLLs), and RF systems.

Among VCO architectures, the Current-Starved Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (CS-VCO) stands

out for its compact design, low power consumption, and wide tuning range. This study presents

the design and performance analysis of Current-Starved Voltage Controlled Oscillators (CS-

VCOs) using the 180 nm CMOS technology node. The study investigates two topologies—3-

stage and 5-stage CS-VCOs—emphasizing trade-offs in key parameters such as frequency range,

power dissipation, linearity, and delay. For a control voltage of 0.9V, the 3-stage CS-VCO

achieves a frequency range of 103 MHz to 3.01 GHz with a power dissipation of 135 μW, while

the 5-stage topology exhibits a frequency range of 148 MHz to 2.21 GHz with 261 μW power

dissipation Simulation results using LT Spice confirm the designs meet the target 1.5 GHz center

frequency while addressing modern application demands. The 3-stage CS-VCO demonstrates

broader frequency range and lower power dissipation, whereas the 5-stage configuration provides

better frequency stability. Future research could explore advanced topology optimization, noise

analysis, and scaling to next-generation CMOS nodes, further enhancing the performance and

applicability of these designs in communication systems, frequency synthesis, and low-power

Characterization and Antibacterial properties
Dr. Pankaj Srivastava

-:ABSTRACT:-

This study introduces an eco-friendly approach for synthesizing pure and cadmium-doped barium
oxide (BaO) nanoparticles using Pterocarpus santalinus (sandalwood bark) extract as a natural
reducing and stabilizing agent. The use of plant extracts in nanomaterial synthesis is a sustainable
alternative to conventional methods, offering an environmentally friendly route to produce
nanoparticles with enhanced properties. The structural and morphological characteristics of the
synthesized nanoparticles were extensively analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning
electron microscopy (SEM), and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). XRD results
revealed that both pure BaO and Cd-doped BaO exhibited a tetragonal crystal structure. The
crystallite sizes were determined to be 14.85 nm for pure BaO and 16.41 nm for Cd-doped BaO,
indicating successful doping. SEM analysis showed that pure BaO nanoparticles had uniform,
porous, flower-like structures, while Cd-doped BaO displayed aggregated, irregular
morphologies, suggesting that the doping process altered the particle formation. The antibacterial
properties of the nanoparticles were tested against Bacillus subtilis (Gram-positive) and
Escherichia coli (Gram-negative), showing significant antibacterial activity. The Cd-doped BaO
nanoparticles exhibited stronger activity, particularly against E. coli, highlighting their potential
as antimicrobial agents. This green synthesis approach not only reduces the environmental
impact of nanoparticle production but also yields nanomaterials with superior antibacterial
properties, making them suitable for applications in the food and medical industries. The study
demonstrates the feasibility of using natural plant extracts for the synthesis of functional
nanoparticles, offering a sustainable pathway for the development of advanced nanomaterials
with diverse industrial applications.

-:ABSTRACT:-

In the present work we have taken cosmic ray intensity (CRI) variation with interplanetary

parameters and proton flux. To see the CRI variation, with solar and interplanetary parameters

we have taken CRI data from Masco Neutron Monitor during 2008 to 2022. The interplanetary

magnetic field (IMF) and proton flux of energy >10 MeV taken from Omniweb data services

from 2009-2022. The IMF and proton flux was absent in the year 2008. We have employed the

statistical methods to find out the correlation of solar and interplanetary parameters with CRI. By

the statistical analysis we have conferred that the cosmic ray intensity (CRI) anticorrelated with

IMF with correlation coefficient -0.76 and with proton flux have weak negative correlation with

correlation coefficient -0.32. From these observations we have concluded that the CRI variation

has inverse relation with solar and interplanetary parameters considered in this work, i.e. the

solar activity occur on the solar atmosphere do not affect the CRI variation. During the study we

observed that the CRI shows the maximum variation of 2% in the year 2009 & 2020.

-:ABSTRACT:-
Maximization of profit by minimizing the cost is the need of hour. To deal with it, transportation

problem is one of the most cost-effective ways to transport goods from different sources to

different destinations. The purpose of our paper is to deal with the transportation problem when

the supply, demand and cost are square-root fuzzy numbers. There are many papers covering

transportation problem in fuzzy environment but they include the generalized fuzzy numbers,

pythagorean fuzzy numbers or the fermatean fuzzy numbers. In the present paper, we introduce

the transportation problem model and its algorithms when square-root fuzzy parameters are used.

We also define a new score function on the SR-Fuzzy numbers, and by using some basic

operations defined on it, we get the optimal value of the transportation problem in SR-Fuzzy

environment.

Abstract

An ab initio study has been performed for the optical properties of the most stable ZnxTey (x + y = 2 to 4)
nanoclusters. A B3LYP-DFT/LANL2DZ method is employed to optimize the geometries of ZnTe
nanoclusters and a TDDFT method is used for the study of optical properties of the most stable structures of
each configuration. The zero point energy correction is also considered in this study. The structure having
minimum energy in comparison to other structures for same values of “x” and “y” is considered as most
stable. Some of the nanoclusters show at least one imaginary vibrational frequency, which results to their
instability. The optical absorption is weak in visible region but is strong for the ultraviolet region in most of
the nanoclusters except few. These investigations reveal that in most of the nanoclusters, the absorption is
obtained in lower energy side in Zn-rich nanoclusters and in higher energy side in Te-rich nanocluster.
