Habitat

The residence is designed to be nature-oriented, with a focus on open

natural ventilation and lighting. The form is linear and incorporates an X-
shape to create a sense of connection with the surrounding environment.
By utilizing passive design principles, the architecture allows for a
seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces while enhancing the
overall living experience. The layout maximizes views of the natural
surroundings and fosters a harmonious relationship with the environment.
The design prioritizes the occupants' well-being by promoting a healthy
and sustainable lifestyle within the context of the natural world.

Interlocking C-Shape Layout:

The building’s core structure is defined by two interlocking C-shaped halves, creating a harmonious, circular form when
viewed from above. Each C-shape represents a cultural influence: one for the French colonial style and the other for Tamil
traditional design.
The two C-shapes are oriented to interlock and connect in a way that creates a central, enclosed courtyard and shared
spaces, with each C embracing the other, symbolizing unity in diversity and the fusion of distinct architectural styles.
