Hi, my name is Luna, from class 5.3.

Let me tell you a story:

-When I was young, I am an anti-reader. I hate read book, especially thick books. One day, I
saw my smart friend reading books. And I was like:” WOW” And I start to read books. After
that, I learn lots and lots about books. There are so many things books gave me. Reading is a
special skill that mostly of you can do it. Reading is an essential part of our lives, and it has
the power to change the world around us. As a grade 5 student, I have realized the
immense power that reading holds. It has helped me develop my imagination,
vocabulary, and understanding of the world.

Reading has allowed me to explore different cultures, ideas, and perspectives. It has
opened my mind to new possibilities and broadened my understanding of the world
around me. Through reading, I have been able to travel to different parts of the world
without ever leaving my home.
Moreover, reading has helped me develop my vocabulary. It has allowed me to learn new
words and their meanings, which has helped me improve my communication skills. A
good vocabulary is essential for effective communication and helps us express ourselves
in a better way.
Reading has also helped me develop my imagination. It has allowed me to create vivid
pictures in my mind and visualize different scenarios. It has helped me escape reality and
enter a world of fantasy and imagination.
In conclusion, reading is a powerful tool that can help us in various ways. It helps us learn
new things, travel to different parts of the world, and develop our imagination and
vocabulary. As a grade 5 student, I would encourage everyone to make reading a part of
their daily routine. Actually, I don’t enjoy reading much. But, because I want to upgrade
my brain so I’ll read more and more.

Reading looks really easy. But so many people give up. You are really, really smart. And of
course you’ll success if you read more books!

And that’s all of my speech.

Thank you!!!
