IMAP has been an accredited training institution by the DOH to conduct Family Planning training for
midwives since 2016. DOH accreditation is good for three (3) years and is renewable. IMAP, as a DOH-
accredited training institution, has prepared the ground for the regional/local chapters in FCBT
training of midwives.
We are delighted to inform you that the Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines, Inc.
(IMAP) has been granted another subcontract project entitled: “Training and Certification of Health
Service Providers in Family Planning Service Delivery” by Reach Health. The project aims to support
the training and certification of health service providers (HSPs) in various family planning (FP)
services, with a focus on Reach Health sites with limited access to FP training providers. This initiative
particularly targets HSPs from primary care facilities, including private lying-in clinics.
The project commenced on June 16, 2023, and is scheduled to conclude on December 15, 2023. To
enhance the family planning services provided by private clinics in the region, the project has outlined
a blended method of training programs covering FCBT 1, 2, Postpartum IUD Insertion, and Progestin
Subdermal Implant Insertion. These programs are designed for selected private practicing midwives.
We are pleased to extend an invitation to you and your staff to participate in the Family Planning
Competency-Based Training for Region 6, which will be conducted on the following dates:

presence and support would be highly valuable in ensuring the success of these training initiatives.
