1. GENERAL
1.1 Scope
This Calculation cover the analysis and design of upper structure and foundation for PU Building
Expansion.

1.2 Language
All drawing, calculation and document shall be written in English

1.3 Unit of Meansurement


Unit of meansurement in design shall be metric system

1.4 Code and Standards


In principle the following codes and standards of lattes edition shall be applied

This site is located at Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

4. STRUCTURAL DESIGN CONCEPT


4.1 General
The structural design shall be in accordance with the LRFD menthod for steel as per spesified
in AISC specification

4.2 Structural Geometry


The structure in modeled as three dimensional frames in STAAD PRO. All supports are modeled
as pinned. The structure modeling is shown as below :
Note : Based on reference drawing, the expansion will be on the left and right wing from the existing
building. The buidling size are similar, so that only modeled for one sided.
