Managers have a primary responsibility to improve the overall functioning of their
respective work units. They act as entrepreneurs, take bold decisions, seek better results
from subordinate, initiate required changes and implement them for the betterment of
the organizations.
3. As a Resource Allocator
To manage the organization, physical and human resources are mobilized and utilized
efficiently by managers to accomplish predetermined objectives.
4. As a Negotiator
Managers work on behalf of the organization or work unit and subordinate as a
negotiators. They enter into agreements on behalf of the organization.
