100 Shrines or Monuments?

In Progress
1. A cracking obelisk. As you approach, you can see purple wisps emanating from the cracks.
2. A circular platform with an indentation in the middle and a lectern facing it.
3. An empty pedestal with a plaque in memory of someone.
4. A hut-sized geode with a water basin inside.
5. A fissure. If you look down, you can see the shattered remains of a statue.
6. A humanoid statue whose head has long since fallen off. An inscription at the base reads,”Mightiest King to Ever
Trod the Earth, Eternally Remembered”. (u/PaladinOfApathy)
7. A giant stone tablet with the names of those who died to take down a great evil. Possible founders of a present
day order. (u/Jagokoz)
8. An alley that holds a shrine to a god of patience/love/healing for merchants that need a moment away from
their customers. No one speaks here. (u/Jagokoz)
9. A circle of coins struck to the ground using sovereign glue. Shrine to a trickster god. (u/Jagokoz)
10. A long-forgotten statue at the bottom of a lake. It looks exactly like you. (u/n8m93)
11. Three poles of different length, each with a name and art of the bothers and sisters of a long-lost family order.
(u/gmasterson)
12. A translucent crystal obelisk in which is an entombed elf. An inscription reads,”Here lies Adalein, at the spot
where she fell against the onslaught”. (u/evilman333)
13. A shaft 30’ in diameter with a stone walkway leading towards the center. At the end of the walkway is a podium
with an inscription in an unknown language. You can’t tell how deep the pit is, and objects dropped in don’t
make a sound. (u/aftermeasure)
14. A phalanx of colossi guarding a mountain pass. It is rumored that they were mechanical warriors for two ancient
kingdoms that fought. Now they are eroded and covered in moss. Etched into their feet are the names of
soldiers who fell on both sides. (u/aftermeasure)
15. A perfumed grove in which no less than eight messiahs, avatars, and other divinities were supposedly conceived.
(u/aftermeasure)
16. Atop the highest peaks: fragments of an immense stone disk. It’s shattered now, but the largest pieces are over
a half mile in length. Various inscriptions in dead languages cover the shards. Some translated lines seem to
warn about breaking the seal. (u/aftermeasure)
17. A huge mechanical clock buried deep underground. Several times a day, mechanical monks come out through a
door in the clock and say prayers or perform sermons. On holy days, there are grand processions of dozens of
monks, and they chant or burn incense. (u/aftermeasure)
18. A caravan of itinerant shriveners. They set up tends at the edge of town and perform services for coin or barter;
sin-eating, auguries, sacrifices to gods, etc. (u/aftermeasure)
19. A stone column that comes up to the waist. On it is a statue of a stone gauntlet shaped into a fist. An inscription
reads,”In hero of the fighter who thought weapons were cheating in a fight”. (u/MysticMeow)
20. An army of terra-cotta soldiers composed of mimics. They don’t attack anyone, and are only there for a power
display of the local emperor. They are kept tame by the raw meat they’re fed in exchange for their kept
appearance. (u/MysticMeow)
21. A statue of a petrified and shocked wizard who was experimenting with the properties of gorgon eyes. The
order he worked with thought about undoing the curse, but thought he actually made a wonderful centerpiece
for their fountain. (u/MysticMeow)
22. The remains of an archdruid in the center of a grove. A tree has grown around them, and a firbolg skull can be
seen in the center. Vines grow around the tree in a pattern. (u/MysticMeow)
23. In the craft hall of a community’s temple exist many half-made or almost alright attempts of the local youth to
make their God’s holy symbol out of soap. (u/MysticMeow)
24. A large ebony sacrificial table lined with runes of whatever religious text they used. On the table are the
undisturbed remains of the elven cult leader in a crimson cloak with gold trim. Both arms are crossed across the
chest, holding a sacrificial dagger. The hilt is made of ebony and the blade is ruby. (u/MysticMeow)
25. In a tavern’s doorway is a single cast iron bar, setup by the bartender in memory of a frequent bard patron who
wished to see his favorite joke become a reality. (u/MysticMeow)
26. A grand garden with a dormant stone golem in the middle. (u/zamuy12479)
27. A pit several meters across and several more deep. Inside is a skeleton. Runes line the pit. (u/Horus-chosen-
ofChaos)
28. A small pyramid, 2 or 3 meters high. This is only the surface of a much larger pyramid that lies underground,
forgotten by many. (u/phenolphtal)
29. A stone archway is flanked by bushes. Inside is a stone pedestal on which is caved a map. Anyone who looks at
it sees their own travels. There may be 1 or 2 locations they haven’t visited yet...(u/JimmyDabomb)
30. A huge, dwarves statue covers the mountainside...except it’s half-finished. (u/hardcore_quilting)
31. Etched haphazardly into the castle basement closet is,”Here, alone, Ayla Longbranch hid from the Angels for
1000 days”. (u/jziese)
32. A temple to the goddess of luck with a bowl inscribed with,”Give or take your chances”. (u/jziese)
33. A temple to the god of revelry that is literally a raucous dive bar. Prayers are drinking songs. (u/jziese)
34. A large smiling dwarf statue carved into the side of the mountain pass. Each of its teeth is a different gemstone.
(u/jziese)
35. A small island in the middle of a lake with a large tree. Under its dense canopy, hundreds of fireflies dance day
and night, even in snow or heavy wind. (u/jziese)
36. A painting of a stone giant covers the ground. Done in earthen hues, it is only truly visible when you’re flying.
Her necklace marks her tomb. (u/sneakyjeans)
37. Lost amongst the clouds, the floating shrine to (dragon deity) calls to every dragon once in their lifetime for
them to come find it and pay homage. The shrine is an ornate golden disk with a door to nowhere.
(u/sneakyjeans)
38. Crows gather around these underused gallows, where a skeleton hangs from a noose. The Druid killed here was
friend to the birds, and they attack anyone who approaches who doesn’t speak to them in Druidic.
(u/sneakyjeans)
39. A truly titanic chicken, sitting as if on eggs on the mountain far away from civilization. Under the monument is a
monastery run by a multiracial order of female clerics and monks. Couples of all races come here: the pregnant
half is cared for (and the monastery has an exceptionally high rate of successful births) and the other half works
as farmers, woodsmen, hunters, and other laborers. (u/felagund)
40. A statue honoring Filf, a halfling cook who made a feast that fed an entire village for a week. (u/hippienerd)
41. A pair of stone legs and a shattered face lay on the sand. And on the pedestal half washed away by grit and
time is the name of a tyrant and a hollow boast:”Behold what I have wrought and tremble...” nothing else
remains. Around the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare, the low and level sands stretch far away.
(u/aftermeasure)
42. Hellgate: A pilgrimage town for tieflings, warlocks, demons, and demon-worshippers, the town of Hellgate lies
deep underground, in an anti chamber for a much larger cavern containing the Gate itself. The Gate is a huge
door made of unidentifiable material, and is covered in scrollwork depicting scenes of dismemberment and
debauchery. It appears 7 keys can be inserted into holes in the door, but nothing is known about them—not
even if they exist. The town is quaint, and sells religious paraphernalia, incense, candles, and other things of the
sort. It is generally welcoming. They hold a notable festival where pilgrims and townsfolk bang on the door with
huge battering rams and everyone gets drunk afterwords. (u/aftermeasure)
43. In the wilderness, a huge metal wreck lies in an ancient crater. It has been here for hundreds of thousands of
years, and is overgrown. It is a site of great reverence for the locals. An alchemist could learn a thing or two from
its alloys, and a mystic or psion might detect a dormant presence. (u/aftermeasure)
44. A chalky cliff overlooks a dismal sea. On the cliff top are two swords protruding from the ground next to a
boulder which reads,”Hredethelin and Bredehastar, lovers, who died upon the rocks below rather than be taken
by the enemy alive.” (u/aftermeasure)
45. A statue with one arm down, its palm facing outward, it’s other arm holding a small blade. The statue is found
deep in the forest, untouched by nature. It’s face is completely smooth, except for a gemstone in its forehead.
(u/BatHam_)
46. In a ruined village, a small temple is in disarray. The pews and lecterns inside are arranged to face the center of
the room, where a statue’s disembodied head is staked into the cobblestone floor. The head has red marking,
giving the image of a skull. It has nails protruding from it, ear to ear. (u/BatHam_)
47. Traveller’s Respite: A lantern is lit on a stump. The light never dims and cannot be removed. A well used fire pit is
near the light. Anyone who rests here wakes up with high spirits. Animals will never bother them. Anyone who
harms someone in the lantern’s light gains the disfavor of a god of travelers (e.g. The Traveler) (u/Rarves)
48. Ancient’s Gift: A broken piece of aqueduct, 4 feet long and 15 feet high, lies on the ground, gently sloping
downwards. A small trickle of water always flows down it, though no source can be found. Anyone who drinks
from the duct feels incredibly refreshed and is immediately cured of minor ailments. (u/Rarves)
49. The Aching Maw: A carved stone mouth which is level with the earth around it. The tunnel below descends into
darkness. This is an infamous spot for thugs and killers to dump bodies and other items. Occasionally, when
something is dropped into the pit, the dropper will find a small stone-carved tooth in their pocket. (u/Rarves)
50. At the intersection of two rivers stands a small dock. On the dock is an obsidian plaque that reads “For the
Boatman”. The locals leave small offerings at the land end of the dock, and put their dead and dying at the
water end. Those who put an offering are cured of minor ailments, and the dead are never seen again.
(u/ITS_NOT_FINE)
51. In a blasted and broken land, where a god once fell, where reality was shattered, down in the impact crater,
amongst a group of feral angels, the wounds of reality, and shadows that erase those foolish enough from
history, lies a small pool. Around the pool, dimly glowing glyphs written in a dead language say “A Memorial to
What Could Have Been”. If you drink from the pool, you are instantly transported to an alternate reality.
(u/ITS_NOT_FINE)
52. An old iron spear stuck into the ground. Hung atop it is a lantern and a metal plate on which is inscribed, “This
improper burial does not do you justice my friend. To Quol, a shining light in the darkness.”
(u/MildlyConcernedGhost)
53. An old derelict statue of an old halfling with a hypnotic smile. If a PC were to go up and touch it, they would
have a dark tattoo burned into their skin. An inscription at the base of the statue reads, “All who underestimated
him fell before his fists”. (u/Greatgypsyking)
54. In the middle of a field stands a naturally formed stone tower about 100 ft tall and 30 ft across. At the top there
is a flat stone platform with a deep hole in the middle. A sign says “Give up that which is vital to you and you
will be granted safe travels”. If someone drops an object into the hole that they see as important (such as
jewelry or survival needs) then a cloud bursts out of the hole and brings you to a destination that you choose
within 100 miles. (u/Dobbynock)
55. A set of pipes sticking out of the ground with a stool in between them. A Small creature can fit comfortably on
the stool with a pipe in front of its mouth and one next to its ear. A Medium creature can fit less comfortably. If
someone says something into the pipe, the voice of a kind elderly woman replies. The woman loves to chat and
will always respond, no matter what time it is. (u/Dobbynock)
56. A giant footprint on the ground. Believed to be a footprint of the god that created the lands.
(u/BeboTheMaster)
57. An underground crypt with a single hole in the roof. At midday on the summer solstice, a beam of light comes
down through the hole and shines on the coffin, releasing the smell of flowers. (u/ThePolarBaer)
58. A massive stone tablet stands erect in the earth. Strange glyphs are written on the tablet. Anyone who can read
Giant knows it’s a tombstone. (u/TheMightyFishBus)
59. The Temple of the Fallen: This large structure made of white marble is full of large golden statues of warriors of
various races and regions. The temple is full of small vials full of wispy white smoke. When you gaze into a vial it
transmits the last words of warriors of various ages and regions. The temple is a memorial to those who gave
their lives for the ideals of their nation, independent of any country or belief. The temple has existed as long as
the world, but nobody knows who made or maintains it. But it is definitely protected. (u/rabidbasher)
60. A simple wooden offertory bowl sits in front of a cask of ale. Travelers are able to offer coin in exchange for the
special drought. Such shrines can be found in inns, taverns, and other establishments, even on the side of
roadways, and never seem to be empty. (u/Flutterwander)
61. A polished white stone sphere sits upon a velvet cushion on an ornate marble pillar. The area seems cool and
the stone is cold to the touch. Anyone who grabs the sphere hears a voice in their head telling them to
complete a task. It’s usually a simple task, often relating to the upkeep of the area around the pillar such as
“Rake away the dead leaves” or “Polish the pillar”, but can be more unique such as “Give a meal to the old
woman who just entered.” Small boons are given to those who complete the task, ranging from the discovery of
a lost item to the curing of maladies. (u/Flutterwander)
62. A slender, mummified figure with a porcelain mask hangs from the ceiling of this ominous structure, various
ropes connecting it to the walls and floor. All of them have paper talismans attached. (u/Flutterwander)
63. Chapel of the World to Come: The chapel is a grotto carved into living rock in time immemorial where a 25'
sphere hovers over a lake of calm, dark water. The sphere is lit on one side by an unseen light source, and on
the other side patterns of pin-prick lights glow like constellations. Its appearance changes daily: whorls of white
and grey move across it and it seems to rotate under the light. Attempts to physically interact with the sphere
are nearly impossible: no matter how long the ladder or rope, it is simply too far away. To outside observers,
objects approaching the sphere appear to shrink. (u/aftermeasure)
64. The Sunward Palm -- this colossal, marble statue is a remnant of an era dominated by giants. Now, only the
statue's raised arm juts above the grassy surface, it's open palm raised toward the sky as if offering praise. Multi-
colored prayer flags stream from its graceful fingers, and a wide stair has been carved into the tor sloping
around the forearm, so pilgrims can ascend to the palm for meditation. (u/RevRaak)
65. The Bell of the Bonewood -- at the center of an eerily quiet clearing, a massive ceramic bell hangs from the
bleach-white, twisted branch overhanging a dark stream. When rung, the bell repels undead from the clearing: a
major boon, as the surrounding forest of skeletal quaking aspen trees courses with necromantic energy.
(u/RevRaak)
66. Teleron Tramplehill vs. the Medusa -- this dramatic bronze sculpture stands in front of the town's guildhall,
commemorating the heroic efforts of a centaur to protect the town from a medusa. Teleron, the centaur, hides
his face behind his shield, thrusting his lance blindly at the lethally beautiful monster. Curiously, those who have
contemplated the medusa's beauty for any length of time have suffered temporary paralysis for hours
afterward...(u/RevRaak)
67. Altar to the Emerald Empress -- the massive skull of an ancient green dragon matron was excavated in an
underground cavern beneath a fey-touched forest. Now the skull is covered with tarry, black candles as a
necromantic altar to the dragon. (u/RevRaak)
68. The 12 Pools of Tranquility -- A crystal-clear stream flows between two massive trees, the exposed roots of
which form the aesthetic system of pools. Hermits meditate here, discovering esoteric truths from the serene
setting. (u/RevRaak)
69. Evadora's Candle -- in the depths of the earth, this wizard's staff marks the place where its mistress fell in
combat. It burns with a green-blue Continual Flame, which never consumes the rosewood quarterstaff.
(u/RevRaak)
70. Where Shade Rested -- a leaded glass column stands at the edge of the oasis. Fixed to it is a brass plaque,
reading: "Here anchored the matchless dirigible of Enipos Triplebeard, providing blessed shade to His Noble
Eminence, Ashoz the Shining of Ouminiel, during the Summer of the Thousand Suns. May he rest in the shade
all his life long." (u/RevRaak)
71. Plaza of the Condemned -- A large round section at the center of this cobblestone plaza has been re-bricked
with burnished terra cotta tiles in a flame-like pattern, commemorating in reparation the dominant church's
history of burning heretics here. It is a reminder to the people today of their savage past, and this plaza has a
heavy atmosphere of silence. (u/RevRaak)
72. Bognik's Corner -- The locals refer to the nearby wilderness crossroads by the reformed ogre who prowled
there, remembered for "waylaying" passersby there, asking hilarious riddles and exchanging surprisingly witty
banter with them. He asked for a story from each party he encountered, and yet no one knows the ogre's full
story. (u/RevRaak)
73. Barge of the Jaguar Lord. A massive onyx statue of a great cat sits nobly in the wreckage of a colossal, ancient
reed boat. Surprisingly, the ruins of this waterborne shrine is found in the center of a lush, tropical rainforest,
suspended 50 feet off the ground in the boughs of a massive banyan grove. Touching the statue causes fur to
sprout suddenly and fully across the worshiper’s features, and grants them advantage on all Dexterity ability
checks, saving throws, and attack rolls, for a full day. (u/RevRaak)
74. Font of Benevolence. A 5-ft-wide, white marble basin, inexplicably full of always-clear water, stands in this town
square. A bas-relief of a unicorn can be seen through the crystalline water at the bottom of the basin. The town
is convinced that the basin’s water has healing properties, and it is a custom of the community to come and
drink a small handful of the water each morning. Adventurers are puzzled, however, that so many of this town
are desperately ill. The basin’s aspect is, in fact, an illusion. Any who drink from the basin are poisoned for 1d12
hours and magically drawn to return to the basin the next day. For each successive day that the water is tasted,
the poisoned condition lasts for another d12 hours. The detect evil and good spell reveals the basin to be
desecrated, and the detect poison spells reveals the harmful quality of the water. Anyone with truesight or
similar abilities sees the basin is actually a blood-red basin of an unknown stone, and nightmare heads are
chiseled into its sides. (u/RevRaak)
75. The Hands of Friendship — This impressive granite statue dominates the arcane city’s bustling center. An
angular dwarven-style gauntlet clasps a graceful, elven hand, and where the two hands meet, they are held
above and below by a matching pair of human hands. Two recent additions to the statue have been made in
bronze: a paw-like tabaxi hand rests on the elven bracer, and a long-nailed tiefling hand supports the dwarven
wrist. An arcane, purple light emanates from the statue, causing anyone in the city center to be friendly toward
everyone else (Wisdom save DC13). (u/RevRaak)
76. Grandfather Chai — A cast-bronze bust of a cheery, elderly man, surrounded by a considerable mound of
teapots and tea bowls of all kinds. (u/RevRaak)
77. The Scapula of Ruguld the Silent. Awed kobolds bring their treasured possessions as offerings to this ancient
dragon's shoulder blade. The tribe believes that protection and magical powers will be granted to their
hatchlings if they continue to worship this relic. (u/RevRaak)
78. The Tusks — Jutting spires of bleach-white stone emerge from the ocean’s face. Each one has some kind of
lantern or torch attached to it. Lighting a Tusk’s light will summon will-o-wisps to the location, floating
menacingly over the water. The stories tell that these undead will just as likely lead sailors to certain doom as to
priceless treasure. (u/RevRaak)
79. Totem Stones — This sacred wood is littered with these primitive, carved stones, each depicting a stylized
representation of an animal. These stones are often found stacked four to eight high. Animistic natives believe
teach that the Totem Stones mark locations where spirit animals were encountered, either for good or for evil.
(u/RevRaak)
80. Sir Petovar the Lofty. This hammered metal statue of a rampant griffon bearing an armored lancer stands on top
of one of the watchtowers of this border fortress. A wyvern is impaled on the leveled lance, its head lolling
dramatically. (u/RevRaak)
81. Resolute Bluff. The site of a series of historic battles between a human kingdom and a goblinoid horde is
marked by a single ballista, perched on the bluff aiming out over the valley beneath. A plaque on the ballista
describes the battle’s dates, renowned generals, and outcome: a raiding band of gnolls surprised both sides,
bringing the enemies together to fend off the demonic swarm. After narrowly defeating the gnolls and suffering
grievous losses on both sides in the conflict, all the generals promptly agreed to an armistice. (u/RevRaak)
82. The Cowl — This spherical cavern is filled with curtains of substantial shadow, as its interior is a portal to the
Shadowfell. Runes etched into the low opening, however, keep the shadow within, and a similarly etched circle
in the cavern protects visitors from the effects (and denizens) of the Shadowfell. Only those eager to encounter
their own inner darkness and personal shadows, and overcome them, enter in. It is a storied site for paladins, in
particular, wishing to purge themselves before beginning holy quests. (u/RevRaak)
83. The Winter Weaver’s Spindle — Geothermal steam has erupted from the frozen tundra at this vent, creating
over time a frozen spire hundreds of feet tall. Around the wide base of this natural phenomena, pilgrims have
shaped igloos for those wishing to contemplate and venerate this elemental wonder. Rangers patrol the icy
shrine, as winter wolves appear here more than is natural. (u/RevRaak)
84. An ancient electrum coin, crudely round with a hollow center, has been nailed to the lintel over the townhall
entrance. Fine runes have been etched into the metal, although they are barely visible. They have been all but
polished away by comers and goers briefly rubbing the talisman on their way. A hedge wizard sold the relic to
the woodland town as a ward against evil fey. (u/RevRaak)
85. This ornate brazier hangs from fine chain just within the entrance of the forge. The dwarven smiths add a cold
lump of coal to the brazier upon entering, praying for safety from burns and heat exhaustion; and they add a
live coal from the open forge as they leave, in gratitude for the fire’s power to shape and change metal.
(u/RevRaak)
86. This artesian well bubbles up in a depression in the desert. The desert-dwelling animals — and shamanistic
desert tribes — know to come to this oasis for water, but it has only recently been discovered by the trade
caravans. A conflict is growing between those who hallow the oasis and seek to preserve its sanctity, and those
who desire to commercialize the secret paradise, planning a luxury spa and resort for the wealthiest merchants.
(u/RevRaak)
87. Hall of Heroes — This arcade in the outer wall of the Royal Citadel is lined with niches housing plinths bearing
golden replicas of the legendary weapons wielded by the kingdom’s greatest warriors, adventurers and saviors.
The plinths are etched with the stories of the heroes they honor. (u/RevRaak)
88. Treasury of Purity Mirrored — Within this chamber, seven metal masks stare into the center, each artfully
fashioned from one of the known metals of the world: Gold, Silver, Copper, Lead, Iron, Mithral, and Flamesteel.
These masks thrum with musical resonance, harmonizing together beautifully. The chamber is only accessed
once a year, on a holy day for devotees. (u/RevRaak)
89. Lenses — This tower-top chamber has an open roof, over an incredible apparatus within: many polished glass
discs, rotating together in various configurations to investigate and follow the movements of the heavens.
Worship of the stars occurs under these religious instruments. (u/RevRaak)
90. An open staircase marches up the outside of this building, but there is no door at its head. Each step has a
bronze nameplate fixed to it, but there is no other sign as to what these back-alley stairs commemorate.
(u/RevRaak)
91. A massive, uncarved stone stands in the center of the quiet village. Graffiti covers the stone on all sides, much of
it faded. (u/RevRaak)
92. This stone statue stands at the entrance to the lush museum campus. The figure is remarkably detailed, but no
artist is credited: this woman’s hair is done up in intricate braids that have become slightly unkempt, and she
wears dirty traveling clothes of a bygone style tattered by hard wear. Her right hand clutches her satchel, which
bulges with some unknown treasure. Her gloved left hand is upraised, shading her squinting eyes. The bronze
base of the statue reads, “LADY DISCOVERY: IN HONOR OF ALL EXPLORERS IN THEIR SEARCH FOR TRUTH.”
(u/RevRaak)
93. A blood-crusted boar spear is displayed behind the bar of this taproom. Under its mounting hooks, a placard
reads, “Warmonger, the Spear of Dhumald Dirgewind.” (u/RevRaak)
94. A massive ceramic mosaic covers the back of the village's common hall, depicting a pastoral farmplace under a
harvest sun. The town commissioned a half-elf artist to create the mosaic as part of the town’s rebuilding, after
almost the entire village was burned down in a goblin raid. The shards of broken ceramic housewares were
salvaged from the ruins, and artfully incorporated in the design, as a testament to the town’s resolve and hope
for a peaceful future. (u/RevRaak)
95. An impossibly massive stump — approximately table-height — fills almost the entire forest clearing. It’s smooth
surface has been artistically stained and burned with vine-like druidic designs, and then preserved and sealed.
The druidic writing spirals between the tree’s rings, recounting a devastating forest fire that consumed the entire
forest, and how, in the aftermath, the druidic circle used this ancient tree’s seeds to sow the forest seen today.
(u/RevRaak)
96. House of Four — Four magic items have been placed in this shrine, each in one corner: a Bowl of Commanding
Water Elementals, a Censer of Controlling Air Elementals, a Stone of Controlling Earth Elementals, and a Brazier
of Commanding Fire Elementals. A multitude of other elemental symbols and images have been brought as
offerings, surrounding these magic items on their altars so that they almost are lost in the visual chaos.
(u/RevRaak)
97. A rose quartz statue of a renowned Oath of Ancients paladin stands in this consecrated clearing. She holds a
wide basin of water in her upturned hands. It is religious law not to hunt the giant elk that is frequently seen
here. (u/RevRaak)
98. The frescoes in this gothic chancel were uncovered by a society of archaeologists now dissolved. Everyone who
looks at the swirling images of cosmic horrors feels their minds unraveling, and must make an intelligence
saving throw (DC16) against becoming insane. (u/RevRaak)
99. A titanic bronze bas-relief of a demon’s face looks down over this chamber’s lavishly appointed, sunken
conversation pit. While within the conversation pit, adventurers must succeed on a Charisma saving throw
(DC13), or be affected by the opposite of a Zone of Truth spell, compelled to avoid deliberately speaking the
truth. (u/RevRaak)
100. This oozing, black tree was planted over the remains of a notorious murderer, in the hopes that this ruined life
might be reclaimed to foster life after only taking lives. Unfortunately, the tree’s disease is spreading, and the
town is beginning to panic... (u/RevRaak)
