need power to influence, develop, and enable people, but power can be abused if not used judiciously.
• Authority
• The legal and formal right to make decisions, give orders, and expect compliance. Authority is associated with a position in an
organization, and it's hierarchical. Authority is more legitimate than power, especially when power can be abused.
• Leadership

• The ability to inspire and guide others toward common objectives. Leadership is centered on influence and inspiration, and it's
not just about holding a position of power. Leaders can exist at any level in an organization, and they earn respect and
followership through their actions
