SHORT STORIES 1. The Lost Pen
A woman sat at her desk, looking for her favorite pen. She searched
through the drawers, under the papers, and on the floor, but it was
nowhere to be found. After a few minutes, she noticed it had rolled
under her chair. She picked it up and smiled, relieved that it had not
gone far.

2. The New Shoes


A young boy had just bought a new pair of shoes. They were shiny and
comfortable. He wore them for the first time to school. He walked
proudly, and his friends noticed. They asked him where he had gotten
them, and he told them about the store. The shoes made him feel
good, and he couldn't wait to wear them again.

3. The Morning Walk


Every morning, an old man walked through the park. He didn't hurry,
but walked slowly, taking in the fresh air. The birds sang, and the trees
swayed gently in the breeze. He smiled as he passed by other people,
some jogging, some walking dogs. It was a peaceful part of his day.

4. The Empty Cup


A young woman sat at a table in a café, staring at her empty cup. She
had finished her tea but didn’t want to leave just yet. She enjoyed the
quiet atmosphere and the soft music playing in the background. She
sat there for a while, thinking, before deciding it was time to go.

5. The Quiet Room


There was a small, quiet room at the back of the house. It was simple,
with just a chair and a small table by the window. The room was often
empty, but sometimes someone would sit there to think or read. The
quietness of the room made it a special place for those who needed
peace.
6. The Forgotten Key
A man was leaving his house and realized that he had forgotten
his key. He went back inside and searched his pockets, but it
wasn't there. He retraced his steps to the door and found it lying
on the ground. He smiled and picked it up, glad that he had
found it.

7. The Friendly Dog


A dog was sitting in front of a house, wagging its tail. Every time
someone walked by, it would greet them with a bark and a happy
jump. People smiled as they passed, some stopping to pet the
dog. It was a friendly dog, always excited to see others.

One afternoon, a family moved into the house next door. They
had boxes and bags all over the yard. A boy from the
neighborhood walked over to introduce himself. He waved hello
and asked if they needed help. The family smiled and said thank
you. The boy stayed for a while, talking to the children of the
new family.

A girl sat at the kitchen table, staring at the clock. It was her
birthday, but no one had wished her a happy birthday yet. She
had forgotten to tell her family, and they were busy with their
own things. She sighed but didn't mind much. She had decided
to enjoy the day on her own.

The sky turned gray, and soon, rain began to fall. People hurried
to find shelter, and cars slowed down on the wet streets. The
sound of the rain was calming as it hit the windows. After a while,
the rain stopped, and the sun came out again. The streets were
wet, but the air was fresh.

A man had an old watch that had stopped working. He tried to fix it
but couldn't figure out what was wrong. He kept it in his drawer,
not sure what to do with it. The watch had been a gift from a long
time ago, and though it no longer worked, it held memories.

On a cold winter day, the park was empty. The swings moved
slowly in the wind, and the leaves crunched underfoot. There was
no one around, just the quiet sound of nature. The park, usually
filled with children playing, was still and calm in the winter air.

the ocean, glowing under the sunlight. People would gather by the
shore, hoping to catch a glimpse of the fish. Some believed it could

caught the golden fish, but the stories of it lived on for
generations.

2. The Legend of the White Deer


In the forest, there was a white deer who roamed freely. It was said
that the deer appeared only once every ten years, during the full
moon. Many tried to find the deer, but it was always too fast and
too clever. The legend spoke of its beauty and grace, and many
believed it was a spirit that protected the forest.

Far in the mountains, there was a city that was said to be filled
with treasure. It was hidden from the world, and only a few brave

FABLES
1. The Dog and the Shadow
A dog was walking across a bridge with a piece of meat in its
mouth. It saw its own reflection in the water and thought it
was another dog with a bigger piece of meat. The dog barked
and dropped its own meat, only to lose it in the water.

2. The Tiger and the Goat


A tiger saw a goat eating grass. The tiger, hungry, tried to
sneak up on it. But the goat quickly ran away, and the tiger
couldn't catch it.

3. The Eagle and the Fox


An eagle was flying high in the sky when it saw a fox below.
The eagle swooped down, but the fox ran into a hole in the
ground and escaped.

4. The Wolf and the Lamb


A wolf saw a lamb drinking from a river and decided to attack
it. The wolf tried to blame the lamb for disturbing the water,
but the lamb said it was impossible because it was standing
downstream. The wolf attacked anyway.

5. The Bear and the Bees


A bear found a honeycomb in a tree and wanted to eat the
honey. He reached in and grabbed some, but the bees stung
him, and he ran away in pain.
6. The Lion and the Donkey
A lion and a donkey were walking together when they
saw a group of animals. The lion roared, and the other
animals scattered in fear. The donkey brayed, and no
one moved.

7. The Rooster and the Pearl


A rooster found a pearl in the dirt. He looked at it and
thought it was a shiny stone, not something to eat. He
left it behind and continued searching for food.

8. The Deer and the Hunter


A deer was running through the forest when it saw a
hunter. The deer tried to run faster, but the hunter
chased it, and the deer was caught.

A peacock was proud of its colorful feathers and
boasted to a crane about how beautiful it was. The

can fly high in the sky."

A crow had a piece of cheese in its beak. The fox saw
the cheese and wanted it. He praised the crow, asking
it to sing. As the crow sang, the cheese fell, and the fox
grabbed it.

A wolf saw a goat grazing in a field. The wolf wanted to
eat the goat but pretended to be friendly. The goat
wasn't fooled and ran away.

12. The Ant and the Grasshopper


A grasshopper spent the summer singing, while the ant

grasshopper had no food, and the ant had enough to
survive.

13. The Mouse and the Lion


A lion caught a mouse, but the mouse begged to be set
free. The lion let it go, and later, when the lion was
trapped in a net, the mouse helped it escape by chewing
through the ropes.

A crow was thirsty and found a pitcher with some water
inside. The water was too low for the crow to reach, so it
dropped small stones into the pitcher until the water
rose enough for the crow to drink.

15. The Donkey and the Load of Salt


A donkey was carrying a load of salt across a river. The
donkey stepped into the water, and the salt melted. The
donkey realized that the water made his load lighter.
16. The Fox and the Goat
A fox fell into a well and couldn’t get out. A goat passed
by, and the fox tricked the goat into jumping into the well
by saying the water was good. The fox climbed onto the
goat's back and escaped, leaving the goat behind.

17. The Hare and the Tortoise


A hare and a tortoise had a race. The hare was much
faster and raced ahead. But the hare became tired and
took a nap, while the slow-moving tortoise kept going and
won the race.

18. The Wolf and the Dog


A dog and a wolf met in the forest. The dog had a collar
and was well-fed. The wolf, hungry and free, asked the
dog if it wanted to join him in the wild. The dog noticed
that the collar rubbed on his neck and decided to stay
with the humans.

19. The Frog and the Ox


A frog saw an ox and wanted to be as big as the ox. It
puffed itself up and asked, "Am I as big as the ox now?"
The frog kept puffing until it exploded.

20. The Fox and the Stork


A fox invited a stork to dinner and served food in a
shallow bowl. The stork couldn't eat from it because of its
long beak. Later, the stork invited the fox and served food
in a tall jar. The fox couldn’t eat from it either.
PARABLES
1. The Hidden Treasure
A man found a treasure buried in a field. He hid it again
and went to sell everything he owned to buy the field.

2. The Two Servants


A master gave two servants different tasks. One
worked hard all day, and the other rested. At the end
of the day, the master gave them both a reward for
their work.

3. The Seed in the Soil


A farmer planted seeds in the soil. Some seeds grew
quickly, while others took more time. Some did not
grow at all.

4. The Lost Lamb


A shepherd had many sheep, but one wandered away.
He searched for it until he found it, and he was happy
to bring it back.

5. The Unwise Builder


A man built a house on soft ground, while another built
his house on firm rock. When the storm came, the
house on soft ground was destroyed.
6. The Watchful Servant
A master went away and left his servant in charge. The
servant watched over the house carefully, knowing the
master could return at any time.

7. The Farmer and the Weeds


A farmer planted good wheat in his field, but weeds
also grew. His workers asked if they should pull the
weeds, but the farmer said to wait until harvest time.

8. The Borrowing Friend


A man went to his friend's house at night to ask for
bread. His friend at first did not want to help, but
eventually gave him the bread.

9. The Lamp on the Stand


A person lit a lamp and put it on a stand so that
everyone in the house could see. The light was not
meant to be hidden.

10. The Good Soil


A farmer scattered seeds in many places. Some seeds
fell on rocky ground, some on the path, and others in
thorny bushes. Only the seeds that fell on good soil
grew and produced fruit.
11. The Honest Worker
A man worked for a rich man, doing all his chores.
After many days of hard work, the man was tired but
kept working honestly.

12. The Fishing Net


A fisherman threw his net into the sea and caught
many fish. After he pulled up the net, he sorted the
good fish from the bad ones.

13. The Traveling Merchant


A merchant went from town to town, buying and
selling goods. He traveled far and worked hard,
always looking for better deals.

14. The Wise Farmer


A farmer carefully watched his crops grow. He
watered them, protected them from pests, and
waited patiently for them to ripen.

15. The Lost Ring


A woman lost a ring and searched her house until
she found it. She was very happy to find the lost
ring.
16. The Two Builders
Two builders worked on different houses. One worked
quickly but did not make the house strong. The other
builder took more time, making sure his house was
sturdy and well-built.

17. The Neighbor’s Garden


A man looked at his neighbor’s garden and saw that it
was well-kept. He decided to make his own garden just
as nice and worked hard to plant flowers.

18. The Shepherd and the Sheep


A shepherd had many sheep. He always made sure
they had enough food and water. If one sheep
wandered off, he would go and find it.

19. The Lost Apple


A man dropped an apple from his basket, and it rolled
away. He searched everywhere, and finally found it
under a bush. He was glad to have it back.

20. The Sower and the Seeds


A sower went out to plant seeds. Some seeds fell on
hard ground and didn’t grow. Some fell among thorns
and got choked, but some seeds fell on good soil and
grew into strong plants.
