In this trail we will descend from the front side of Ekvira mountain to Uksan Dam on the back side
of the mountain. In it we will visit the famous Karla Caves in Ekvira. Also from the top of Ekvira hill Call : 98695 00885

view of Shirota Dam, Uksan Dam and Somwadi Dam.

Andharban - Jungle Trek

The trek through Andharban is one of the most refreshing treks in the Sahyadri region. The name LEADERS
‘Andharban’ is a compound word, coming from Andhar, meaning ‘dark’, and ban, which means
‘forest’. Literally the ‘dark forest’, Andharban is a trail through dense overgrowth, with beautiful

Talagad - Ghosalgad - Avchit Fort

Talgad fort is at an altitude of 1000 feet. This fort is in form of a narrow strip 20 meters in width. This LEADERS
fort is situated on a narrow spur guarded by fortification. Ghosalegad Fort is located 8 km south of
the Roha town on Roha-Bhalgaon-Murud road. This fort served to keep watch on the enemy and the Mrs. Vaishali Shinde
trade route from Maval to the sea ports around. Avchit fort is believed to be built by Shilahar kings Call : 88791 25193
and subsequently used by the Nizam of Ahmednagar. The great Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji is
also believed to have reconstructed this fort. The work was carried out in a hurry and hence the name
'Avchit' (hurry) 'gad' (fort). In the Third Anglo-Maratha War, this fort was won over by Colonel Prother
Mrs. Bindu Shirke

Dhak Bhairi fort a hill fort situated in the base village of Sandshi of Raigad District. Dhak Bhairi Mrs. Shruti Sawant
is an extremely Hard trek with its height of 2700 feet i.e. 823 meters. Call : 83560 11528
The fort is dedicated to God bhairi the god of Thakur Adivasis hence it is called as Dhak - Bhairi
Bhivgad (or Bhimgad) is a hill fort in Maharashtra. Located in the district of Raigad, this fort Mr. Pramod Vaidya
offers a nice trek in close companionship to the fort of Dhakbahiri. Call : 9833 100401

Trekking cum Training Sudhagad - Pali

Sudhagad fort, also known as Bhorapgad, is a hill fort located in the Pali district of Maharashtra. A LEADERS
colossal fort was once considered an option to become the Maratha empire’s capital under Shivaji
Maharaja’s regime. Still, he decided against it and chose Raigad as the capital because of its Mr. Suhas Khatate
location. It is one of the few forts that have a vast plateau on the top.
On top of the fort, you can see temples dedicated to Lord Shiva & Bhoraidevi, two ponds, a secret Call : 96642 61428
escape route, Pantsachiv wada(where people stayed), Maha Darwaza & much more.
The fort is at an altitude of 1970 ft. & is considered a relatively easy trek. Sudhagad has a lot to offer Mr. Swapnil Chaudhari

Rules & Regulations:


• Smoking and Drinking of Alcohol is prohibited, if found the membership will be cancelled.
• Unit is not responsible for whatsoever mishap during its Program at all levels
• YHAI Membership is compulsory for participation in any event. Bring your YHAI Identity
Card while attending any Program.
• YHAI Malad Unit Members will be given first preference for each program (in the first week
from date of registration of any program) and second preference will be to YHAI Members of
any other unit.
• Things to carry for One-day trek:
One-time lunch, Emergency food, Water Bottle, Torch, Trekking Shoes, Face Mask,
Sanitiser, Sun Cap, Ruck Sack, personal medicine, etc.
• Things to carry for Two-day trek:
One-time lunch, Emergency food, Water Bottle, Plate, Glass, Spoon, Torch, Trekking Shoes,
Cap, Ruck Sack, Face Mask, Sanitiser, Carry mat, Shawl, Extra pair of clothes, personal
medicine, etc.
• Wear full sleeves clothes and full pants to prevent Sun burn, insect bites.
• 10 to 15 days advance booking for 2-day treks & 7 days adv. booking for 1-day treks is must.
• Confirmation of names for participation is subject to payment of advance wherever stated.
• On cancellation of participation 7 days before the trek, 50% of the adv. will be forfeited
• On cancellation of participation 3 days before the trek, 75% of the adv. will be forfeited
• Unit has the authority to make any kind of changes in the Program without prior intimation.
• Complete Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory for individuals interested in
participating in all the events of YHAI Malad Unit.
