Family Background I have come with a family of five members including myself, my two younger siblings and my parents. My father works in a Phamaceutical company, and my mother plays a major role as a housewife. My family is the strong backbone to me who motivates and inspires me to reach my highest potential state in education and they guide me throughout this process to develop my educational qualifications and skills.
Educational Background Firstly, I successfully completed my General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) at Negombo South International School, Negombo, Sri Lanka at the year of 2017. Afterwards I wanted to choose my career in a business management field where I can aspire to gain advanced knowledge and insights into the world of entrepreneurship. To succeed further in my education level, I successfully completed my International Foundation Diploma in Business Management at the institute of Business Management School (BMS), Colombo, Sri Lanka in the year of 2018-2019. Furthermore, I was awarded with an International Advance Diploma in the same field at American National College (ANC) Colombo, Sri Lanka at the year of 2019-2021 respectively. While thinking of my career progression, the pursuit of higher education in a program that can introduce me to the world of management seemed like a logic step forward in my career and that is the very reason why I decided to acquire a bachelor's in business management field. Working Experience While I was doing my advance diploma in business management I worked as a Production Executive in a BPO company named, Intelligent Image Management Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., (IIML) where the headquarters was situated in United States of America. I had a great experience of working with them for a period of two years under a production management which relies on the role of data entry and verification of data by maintaining a standard procedure that ensures quality up to date. Afterwards I was moved on as a Customer Care Executive in a shipping line company named Haisen Freight Forwarding (Pvt) Ltd., with a great year of experience ahead with a dedicating role of maintaining a good customer relationship with coordinating with carriers by providing quotes and setting up shipments according to their requirement.
Why Bachelor of Business Management?
As a student, I was enthralled by the things that I could accomplish with my technical expertise, and I did not realize the significant role of management in the success of the firm until much later till I experienced it. Managment skills and technical proficiency must go hand to hand to enable the proper execution of plans and the progress of any venture. This was the main reason I chose Bachelor of Business Management for my further education because every technical profession in the growing world necessitates having the skills for administering projects. Therefore, this course will provide me with professional knowledge with adequate insights into commencing, scheduling, implementing, directing and conducting large scale projects. Why not in Sri Lanka?
The main reason to apply for a foreign university is the lack of facilities in Sri Lanka to gain the internationally recognized education experience. Adding to that since, I already have an Advanced Diploma in a Sri Lankan university I need to pursue my higher education in a globally recognized university. Besides, it can provide a universal understanding of developing business strategies practically in combination with technological proficiency. Therefore, I decided to enroll to a Canadian university to continue my higher education and get the exposure of Canadian education system. Also, after the completion of my Diploma I always eager to get a world class experience in completing my bachelor's degree in Canada. I strongly believe that studying in a world class university like .................. and gaining high quality education will be considerable helpful to enhance my professionalism and skills.
How I fund my education?
I am aware of the financial demands of this course and I and my family members are self-funding for my higher education. My family has assets and deposits in Sri Lanka, and they can sponsor my educational and living expenses during my stay in Canada.
Why come back to Sri Lanka?
I hope to come back to Sri Lanka after the completion of my bachelor's even though I decide to study in Canada because, I need to get the exposure of the international education experience and upgrade my career path successfully. Another reason why I am coming back to my motherland is for my beautiful family. I always wanted to take care of them and be a part of their happiness during their lifetime. Until I come my siblings will take care of my parents along with my supportive relatives. I feel confident that this course will get me ready for a career in managerial roles in a leading company and will guide me to start a successful business in Sri Lanka by satisfying my parent's expectation. I look forward to being a part of the progressive academic environment at your university.
Conclusion I chose Bachelor of Business Management because I would like to develop my career by upgrading my knowledge and practical experience in a recognized university. My parents and I are self-funding for my educational and living expenses. Also, I will come back to Sri Lanka after pursuing my degree due to the commitment of my parents.
