(b ) The ratio of the interior angle and the exterior angle of a regular

7. Draw on a sheet of graph paper two perpendicular axes Ox and Oy for the intervals
−10 ≤ 𝑥 ≤ 10 and −12 ≤ 𝑦 ≤ 12, using a scale of 2cm to 2 units on both axes.
(b) Draw, labelling all the vertices clearly together with their coordinates:

11. (a) The time(T) taken to buy fuel at a filling station varies directly as the number of
vehicles(V) in the queue and varies inversely as the number of pumps(P) available at
the station. In a station with 5 pumps, it takes 10 minutes to fuel 20 vehicles. Find
(i) the relation between T, P and V
(ii) the time it takes to fuel 50 vehicles at a station with 2 pumps.
(iii) number of pumps required to fuel 40 vehicles in 20 minutes.

(b ) The sum of the first ten terms of a Arithmetic Progression(AP) is 120. If the fifth term is 6
less than the eighth term, find;
12. (a) Copy and complete the table below for the function 𝑦 = 4𝑐𝑜𝑠(𝑥) + 3𝑠𝑖𝑛(𝑥) for
which 𝜃° ≤ 𝑥 ≥ 300°.

(b) Using a scale of 2cm to 30 units on the x-axis and 2cm to 1 unit on the y-axis, draw
(i) the maximum and the minimum values of the curve, correct to 1 decimal place,

13. From a point P on a level ground and directly West of a Pole, the angle of elevation of
the top of the pole is 45°, and from a point Q directly East of the pole, the angle of
elevation of the top of the pole is 58°. If |𝑃𝑄| = 10𝑚, calculate, correct to two
significant figures, the
(i) the distance from P to the pole
(ii) height of the pole
