2. Bandwidth Requirements
For a smooth experience during the test, you will need a stable internet connection of at least 3
Mbps.

To check the speed of your network connection, you can use https://www.speedtest.net/. The
download Mbps and the upload Mbps both need to be greater than 3 Mbps.

3. Installing Safe Exam Browser (SEB)

Install the Safe Exam Browser application from the installer files from the links below. This step
can be done any time before the test.

Windows:
• Click on this link to download Safe Exam Browser: Version 3.8.0.742 compatible with
SNUSAT tests
• Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install.

Mac:
• Click on this link to download Safe Exam Browser: Version 3.4 compatible with SNUSAT
tests
• Drag and drop the downloaded dmg file into the Applications folder.

Important notes:
• Only use the installer files provided in this document, as they are specifically designed
to work with the compatible operating systems listed above.
• You only need to install SEB once. If you installed it earlier for a demo test and did not
uninstall it afterward, you do not need to reinstall it for the main test, provided you are
using the same device.

4. Starting the Test

Once SEB is installed and configured, follow these steps to begin the test:

• Start by writing down your Test Code and Application ID from the email on a blank sheet
of paper. This is important because once the test starts, you won’t be able to switch
between applications or files.
• Open the file named SNUSAT_testlink.seb (this file is present in the zip file shared with
you).
• When prompted, enter your Test Code and Application ID.
• The system is designed to run some system checks – please wait while these checks
complete. If it asks for permissions (like camera or microphone access), make sure to
allow them. These are essential for monitoring your test.
• The system will prompt you to capture a photo of yourself, so make sure you’re sitting in
a well-lit room and click a clear photo.
• You’ll also need to capture a photo of your government-issued ID on the system when
prompted. Make sure the photo in the ID card is clear and all text on the ID is readable.

Please ensure that the name in the ID card provided matches the name given in the
application form.
• Next, you’ll be asked to scan the room where you’ll take the test. Click on the record
button and slowly show the space to ensure it’s quiet, well-lit, and free from
distractions. Don’t forget to include your desk or table at the end of the scan. Click on
‘Save’ to save the recording.
• Use the QR code option only if you have a desktop.
• Before starting the test and sometimes during the test, you might see more prompts to
enable features like the camera, microphone, or to allow screen sharing. If so, make
sure to allow them.

The test code for the demo test and the main test are not the same. Please make sure you
are referring to the right email for the main test.

5. During the Test

• Keep the paper with your Test Code and Application ID handy, as you will need it during
the test.
• Have 1-2 blank sheets of paper and a pencil or pen ready for rough work.

or to allow screen sharing. If so, make sure to allow them.

support team if you face technical issues.

the instructions under the re-login section above.
