1. System Requirements
Make sure your device meets the following requirements to ensure smooth access to the test:
On Windows, you can check your system details by following the steps below:
1. Clicking on the ‘Start’ button
2. Go to ‘System Information’
3. Under OS name you will see your system details.
On Mac, you can check your system details by following the steps below:
1. Click the Apple menu in the top left-hand corner of your screen
2. Select About This Mac
3. The window that opens will include information like the macOS name and version
number.
Please use a device where you have administrator rights to install and uninstall
applications, give permissions for screenshare, access to camera, etc. and / or end any
system processes, as needed.
All instructions below apply to the demo as well as the main test.
To check the speed of your network connection, you can use https://www.speedtest.net/. The
download Mbps and the upload Mbps both need to be greater than 3 Mbps.
Windows:
• Click on this link to download Safe Exam Browser: Version 3.8.0.742 compatible with
SNUSAT tests
• Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install.
Mac:
• Click on this link to download Safe Exam Browser: Version 3.4 compatible with SNUSAT
tests
• Drag and drop the downloaded dmg file into the Applications folder.
Important notes:
• Only use the installer files provided in this document, as they are specifically designed
to work with the compatible operating systems listed above.
• You only need to install SEB once. If you installed it earlier for a demo test and did not
uninstall it afterward, you do not need to reinstall it for the main test, provided you are
using the same device.
• Start by writing down your Test Code and Application ID from the email on a blank sheet
of paper. This is important because once the test starts, you won’t be able to switch
between applications or files.
• Open the file named SNUSAT_testlink.seb (this file is present in the zip file shared with
you).
• When prompted, enter your Test Code and Application ID.
• The system is designed to run some system checks – please wait while these checks
complete. If it asks for permissions (like camera or microphone access), make sure to
allow them. These are essential for monitoring your test.
• The system will prompt you to capture a photo of yourself, so make sure you’re sitting in
a well-lit room and click a clear photo.
• You’ll also need to capture a photo of your government-issued ID on the system when
prompted. Make sure the photo in the ID card is clear and all text on the ID is readable.
The test code for the demo test and the main test are not the same. Please make sure you
are referring to the right email for the main test.
Re-login:
If you get disconnected from the internet or your system shuts down during the test, you can
easily re-login by following these steps:
1. Open the SNUSAT_testlink.seb file again.
2. Enter your test code and student ID.
3. Submit a request for re-login.
This process ensures minimal disruption and allows you to continue your test seamlessly. If you
have any issues during re-login, please reach out to the support team for assistance.
• No Internet Connection
Quit SEB, if needed. Re-connect to the internet and reload the page. Sometimes you
may have to restart the router or turn off wi-fi on your system and switch it on again.
Click ‘Ok’
• Quit Safe Exam Browser and attempt to restart by opening the SNUSAT_testlink.seb
file.
• If the above step does not work, restart or force restart your device.
• When you restart SEB, keep all other applications closed.
6. Every time I open the SNUSAT_testlink.seb file I see a popup that says, ‘Modify Setup’.
How do I resolve that?
Usually, such an error occurs when the ID card is too close or too far from the webcam. You can
avoid this issue by positioning your ID card such that the edges of the ID card are aligned with
the red box shown on the screen.
8. I am getting a ‘No proctor available’ error message when I start the test.
This issue has been addressed. Please try again to start the demo test.
