- Punts will initially be called into the boundary. Example: ball on left hash = Larry = Punt left.

- Protection responsibility: The count starts from the side that we are punting to.

G-T-TE (to the punt) - take the three rushers closest to the side that we are punting to.
GATE - take the subsequent three rushers (see box below)

OVERLOADS

Alert:

-Be alert for overloads to the side that we are punting to. If we have a Larry (ledft) call on and the overload is
left we will check Roger and kick opposite. Therefore the count will also swith=ch to the other side.

-Be alert for a 4+ man overload between the GUARDS. This poses protection problems. Therefore we will c
MIKE (middle) call and the Gate will be responsible for all four rushers between GUARDS.

Vs. Middle Overload (4 between Guards) =

MIKE - PUNT MIDDLE

NOTE: GATE is responsible for 4 rushers etween Guards.

NOTE: CENTER - bump closest rusher.

LARRY - vs. overload left = CHECK ROGER

R
NOTE: KICK AWAY FROM OVERLOAD
