1- Oracle Database12c: Introduction to SQL

This Oracle Database: Introduction to SQL training helps you write subqueries, combine
multiple queries into a single query using SET operators and report aggregated data using
group functions. Learn this and more through hands-on exercises.

Learn To:

 Understand the basic concepts of relational databases ensure refined code by

developers.
 Create reports of sorted and restricted data.
 Run data manipulation statements (DML).
 Control database access to specific objects.
 Manage schema objects.
 Manage objects with data dictionary views.
 Retrieve row and column data from tables.
 Control privileges at the object and system level.
 Create indexes and constraints; alter existing schema objects.
 Create and query external tables.

Benefits to You

Ensure fast, reliable, secure and easy to manage performance. Optimize database
workloads, lower IT costs and deliver a higher quality of service by enabling consolidation
onto database clouds.

Learn Advanced Features of SQL

This course will help you understand the advanced features of SQL. Learning these
features will help you query and manipulate data within the database, use the dictionary
views to retrieve metadata and create reports about their schema objects. Some of the
date-time functions available in the Oracle Database are also covered. This course also
discusses how to use the regular expression support in SQL through expert instruction.

Use Development Tools

The main development tool used in this training is Oracle SQL Developer. SQL*Plus is
available as an optional development tool. This is appropriate for a 10g, 11g and 12c
audience.

Course Bundle
Note: This course is a combination of Oracle Database: SQL Workshop I and Oracle
Database: SQL Workshop II courses.

2- Oracle Database 19c: Administration Workshop

This course provides detailed information on the architecture of an Oracle Database

instance and database, enabling you to effectively manage your database resources.
You learn how to create database storage structures appropriate for the business
applications supported by your database. In addition, you learn how to create users and
administer database security to meet your business requirements. Basic information on
backup and recovery techniques is presented in this course.
To provide an acceptable response time to users and manage resources effectively, you
learn how to monitor your database and manage performance.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

 Describe Oracle Database architecture

 Describe Oracle Database Cloud Service (DBCS) architecture and features
 Create and manage DBCS database deployments
 Configure the database to support your applications
 Manage database security and implement auditing
 Implement basic backup and recovery procedures
 Move data between databases and files
 Employ basic monitoring procedures and manage performance

Topics

 Introduction
 Oracle Database Architecture
 Introduction to Oracle Database Cloud Service
 Creating DBCS Database Deployments
 Accessing an Oracle Database
 Managing DBCS Database Deployments
 Managing Database Instances
 Understanding Oracle Net Services
 Administering User Security
 Creating PDBs
 Creating Master Encryption Keys for PDBs
 Creating and Managing Tablespaces
 Managing Storage Space
 Managing Undo Data
 Moving Data
 Backup and Recovery Concepts
 Backup and Recovery Configuration
 Creating Database Backups
 Performing Database Recovery
 Monitoring and Tuning Database Performance
 SQL Tuning

3- Oracle Database 19c: Backup & Recovery Workshop

The student begins by gaining a deeper understanding of possibly the most important job
of a DBA - backup and recovery. The concepts and architecture that support backup
and recovery, along with implementation in various ways and situations are covered in
detail. Students gain knowledge of the Recovery Manager (RMAN) command-line
interface for various backup, failure, restore, and recovery scenarios, including data
duplication.

Extensive hands-on practices and workshop scenarios provide the student with
experience in a realistic technical environment. This course includes an interactive
workshop that provide participants with opportunities to diagnose and recover from
several failure scenarios, based on backup and recovery case studies.

After completing this course, students should be able to evaluate their own recovery
requirements and develop an appropriate strategy for backup and recovery procedures.

Versions Supported: 19c, 18c, 12c

Learn To:

 Develop appropriate backup and recovery procedures to address your business

needs.
 Implement backup and recovery settings and perform backup operations to disk
and tape.
 Employ Oracle Database recovery procedures to recover from media and other
failures.
 Diagnose and repair data failures.
 Use flashback technologies and data duplication to complement backup and
recovery procedures.
 Secure the availability of your database by appropriate backup and recovery
strategies.
