Dear diary,
I had no idea that I’d be so good at writing fables, but today I found out that I have a
talent for it! Let me start from the beginning. I had never 1) written / wrote a fable

us about fables. She 5) has / had asked us to read about them before we
6) came / come to class, so everyone 7) was / were prepared. During the lesson she
told us about the important points to look for when we read fables, such as the moral
of the story and characters! And then the real fun began when we finally started writing
our own fables. I 8) had written / wrote half of it by the time the bell 9) ring / rang.
Normally, I was never able to finish it at school, but I 10) have had / had the chance
to finish it when I got back home. I really enjoyed writing fables and I want to keep on
writing them. Maybe I will have my own book one day! That would be so cool.
