Introduction
Welcome
Thank you for choosing accusonus ERA Reverb Remover Pro. In order to better
understand the main concepts and operation of Reverb Remover Pro, please take the time
to read this user manual.
Overview
Reverb Remover Pro is a sophisticated, yet easy to use audio effect plug-in that offers
precision-grade dereverberation and customizable audio repair functionality without
compromising audio quality. Based on the multi-patented accusonus algorithms, Reverb
Remover Pro simply works and allows for efficient reverb removal from audio recordings.
Installation
This plug-in is part of the ERA Bundle & Voice Changer installer and gets installed by default.
The instructions in the installer will guide you through the installation procedure.
System requirements
The ERA plug-ins can perform well on any modern Apple or Windows machine. For the optimal
experience, we highly recommend using the ERA plug-ins on machines with the following
specifications:
CPU
● Intel Core i7 - 6th generation or higher (For macOS users, we recommend machines
later than 2015)
● AMD Ryzen Series 1000 or higher
● M1 (macOS only)
RAM
● ERA plug-ins can perform even with 2GB of RAM as a minimum. However, all
video/audio editors nowadays require at least 8GB. We highly recommend having at
least 8GB of RAM.
GPU
● An entry-level dedicated laptop graphics card should suffice for the ERA tools to
perform normally in most video/audio editors
● Video Editors like DaVinci Resolve require a strong GPU in order to perform
optimally. You can check this page for more information.
Disk Size
● Windows: 700MB
● macOS: 400MB
Screen Resolution
● Minimum: 800 x 600 for all one-knob plugins, 1280 x 720 for Audio Clean-Up
Assistant
macOS
The ERA plugins are tested in the following macOS versions:
Windows
The ERA plug-ins are tested in the following Windows versions:
● 10 (v1903)

This is the master processing control of Reverb Remover Pro. Most of the time, this is the
only control you need to process your audio. Use it to adjust the processing applied to the
whole signal like you’d do with the knob of Reverb Remover Standard.
At the same time, you can apply different processing amounts per frequency band, using
the Spectral Display area. The processing amount of each band is attached to the master
processing knob. Go to the Spectral Display section for more information.
The outer black ring on the knob reflects the available processing range. While adjusting the
processing amount of a band, you will see the available range changing.
Tip: Start by adjusting the overall processing using the master knob. You can therefore
fine-tune the result by adjusting the processing of each band individually.
Tip: Double-click on the master control knob to reset it to the default value. The processing
amount of each frequency band will reset as well.
Hover your mouse over a frequency band and the Band Control Window will pop-up. This
window contains all the controls you need to fine-tune the processing per band. The
available controls are:
● Band On/Off: Enables/Disables the processing of the current band.
● Band Monitor: Allows you to audition the current band while muting all others.
● Band Link: Links/Unlinks current band from the Master Processing knob. As long
as this is enabled, the Master knob will not control that band’s processing amount.
All bands are linked to the Master knob by default. The horizontal processing bar
of a band will change to a dashed line when that band gets unlinked.
● Remove Band: Removes the current band. The minimum number of the
available bands is three.
● Split Band: Splits the current band in half, as long as it is wider than two octaves.
The maximum number of the available bands is six.
Info: An unlinked band does not affect the available range of the Master Processing Knob.
Processing response control
On the left side of the plug-in, you will find the Processing Response slider. Use it to adjust
the response of the de-reverberation processing. Leaning towards the FAST side results in
a less reverberant and tight sound. Leaning towards the SLOW side results in a more
sustained and natural sound.
Tip: If your audio was recorded in a big reverberant room, lean towards the FAST side of
the processing response. This way you’ll be able to tame all these long reverb tails without
compromising the quality of the voice.
Tip: If your audio was recorded in a small yet echoey room, lean towards the SLOW side of
the processing response. This way you’ll be able to control any short reflections while
maintaining the intelligibility of the voice.
Input/Output gain
Use the Input and Output sliders to adjust the level of the signal before and after the
de-reverberation process.
Warning: The input and output gains are bypassed when the ON/OFF switch is set at OFF.
Tip: If the input signal is recorded too loud, you will see the clipping LED of the input meter
turning red. All you need to do is reduce the input gain and click on the clipping LED to reset
it.
Due to the nature of dereverberation, the level of the output will be significantly lower than
the level of the original signal. This is expected as the reverb of a sound source is taking up
a lot of it’s dynamic range.
The output gain works as a make-up gain of the output signal. Reverb Remover Pro also
featuresan Auto option, which automatically optimizes the output level.
Unless you need to adjust the output gain manually, leaving the Auto switch enabled is the
best option. As we mentioned above, the output gain is bypassed, when the ON/OFF switch
is set at OFF. This is handy when you want to compare the original with the processed
signal.
Presets Menu
The Preset System of Reverb Remover Pro includes a set of factory presets that can help
you quickly find an effective starting point depending on the case. You can create custom
presets and save them in the preset folder as well. To open the preset menu, just click the
Preset button.
Tip: If you are a producer and work mainly with specific artists, you can create and save
dedicated presets for each one of them, so you can quickly load them at every session.
Windows:
macOS:
Warning: When you uninstall Reverb Remover Pro from Windows, all factory presets will
be deleted. Your custom presets however will remain untouched!
Tip: Enable the DIFF button and increase the overall processing amount using the Master
knob, until you start hearing a significant part of the voice being removed along with the
unwanted Reverb. Decrease the processing amount a little bit, disable the DIFF button, and
there you are! This way you quickly remove most of the Reverb while maintaining the
natural character of your recording.
Tip: For better results, take advantage of the Monitor button inside the Band Control
Window and follow the same procedure per band.
A/B switch
Tip: You can adjust all plug-in controls independently for the A and the B setting.
ON/OFF switch
Use the ON/OFF switch to turn the plug-in processing on or off. When the switch is OFF, the
entire plug-in is bypassed and the original signal comes through untouched.
Tip: We suggest using the ON/OFF switch (instead of the DAW’s bypass control for the
plug-in). This will keep your audio in sync with the rest of your tracks in your DAW session.
Info: To hide the pop-up window, just click on the Quick Info button once again.
