For each school day, I have a total of 150 pesos as pocket money. My plan is
to spend only 100 pesos each day for both my lunch and recess, allocate 40 pesos
for snacks, and reserve 60 pesos for lunch. The remaining 50 pesos will be saved
as my daily savings. Since there are a total of 5 school days per week, I'll be able to
save 250 pesos every week. I have carefully devised this plan after considering my
food expenses, ensuring that I can satisfy my hunger while still setting aside some
money for emergencies.
I specifically chose 50 pesos as my daily savings goal because it strikes the
right balance for me – not too small and not too large. It's an amount that allows
me to witness gradual growth in my savings, which serves as motivation to budget
my money effectively and continue saving that amount.
I strongly believe that I shouldn't overly rely on my parents for small school
expenses. Using this money, I can ease some of the financial pressure on them.
With this mindset, I am confident that I can succeed in saving money. While it may
seem like a modest start compared to society's larger financial goals, I hope it will
be the catalyst that transforms me into a frugal and considerate individual.
