MegaPlexer GUI (MegaGUI) Introduction to MegaPlexer GUI (MegaGUI)

1 Introduction to MegaPlexer GUI (MegaGUI)

MegaPlexer GUI (MegaGUI) is a Java-based application that serves as a remote GUI for
MegaPlexer. It is a separate tool that the user can use to manage and configure MegaPlexer
remotely. MegaGUI connects to MegaPlexer via the Control interface.

MegaGUI allows users to add outbound applications where the data from eNodeBs will be
forwarded, see the status of the connected eNodeBs, and manage the settings and
configurations of MegaPlexer.

MegaGUI can run on the same server HW where MegaPlexer core is located or in a different
server HW having a working Ethernet connection to MegaPlexer core server HW.

This document serves as the user manual of MegaGUI. Step-by-step procedures on using
the application, its user interface, and other features are described in this document.
Instructions on how to monitor data from eNodeBs and send these data to outbound
applications are also described in this document.

This document addresses the following:

• Step-by-step procedures on how to log in to the MegaGUI.

• Descriptions on all the menus, toolbar, main window, event log, and available options in
MegaGUI.

• Configuration of MegaGUI and how it is used.

all outbound applications can be established.
Figure 47 Added IP connection details

In case there is incoming cell trace traffic to MegaPlexer, it is recommended to create more
the one connection between MegaPlexer and outbound applications or parallel connections
for load sharing.

Recommended value for the parallel connection must be equal to the number of processors
used in the HW platform. For example, if the HW server has two CPUs and each CPU has
12 processors, recommended value for parallel connections is 24 connections.
