Objective-Applying styles paragraph style.
Task-Create a document of paragraph style in all three chapters
Instructions:
Step-1: Write the text you want and select the text you want to apply the style on.
Step-2: Click on the style and formatting icon present on the left corner of the
formatting tool bar the style and formatting tool bar opens.
Step-3: Click on paragraph style icon.
Step-4: Out of the list of paragraph style, choose heading 10. This will be applied
to the selected text.
Step-5 Apply the same for all the other headings.

Objective-Applying Character Style

Task-Create a document of character style in all three chapters

Instruction-
Step-1: Write the text you want and select the text you want to apply the
style on.

Step-2: Click on the style and formatting icon present on the left corner
of the formatting tool bar. The style and formatting tool bar opens.

Step-3: Click on character style.

Step-4: Select any font of your choice and click enter the font will be
applied.
Step-5: Repeat the same procedure for the other two chapters.

ASSIGNMENT-2
Objective-Different ways of wrapping a text around the image
Task-create a document of wrapping text around image on any topic.
Step-1: After writing the text anchor the image to the first paragraph by
right clicking on the picture and anchoring it to the first paragraph.
Step-2: After this right click on the image then click picture then click
wrap.

Electronic Spreadsheet (Advanced)
Objective- Consolidation of data
Task-create a spreadsheet of consolidation of data on the final result of
different students of class-X
Instructions-
Step-1: Create sheet- 1-WEEKLY TEST, sheet-2-HALF YEARLY,
sheet-3-FINAL RESULT in FINAL RESULT. Ods.

Step-2: Select range B3:B8 in the ‘weekly test’ sheet.

Step-3: Click on DATA tab and select define range option. The define
database range dialog box appears.

Step-4: Specify the range name and click on OK button. This will give a
name to the range you wish to use in the data consolidation.
Repeat the above step to give a range name for half yearly and final
marks

Step-5: Create sheet4 and rename it as final result for consolidation

Step-6: Click on DATA tab and select the consolidate option. The
consolidate dialog box appears.
Step-7: Click on ‘SOURCE DATA RANGE’ drop down arrow. The data
ranges created earlier will be displayed as shown:

Step-8: Click on data ranges name and click on ADD. The data ranges
will get added up in the consolidation ranges box. Repeat the step this
all the data ranges needed for data consolidation are added in the
consolidation ranges box.
Step-9: after all the three ranges are added the consolidation dialog box
appears as shown below:

Step-10: The list of the functions is available in the function drop-down


menu. Select the required function. In our example taken above we need
sum function which is default selected.
Step-11: Click on MORE →link to source data check box. This will link
the data consolidation. The option will link the source data with the
target data thus allowing data updation.
Step-12: click on ok button. You will see the consolidated marks in the
FINAL RESULT- FINAL RESULT GENERATED in the cells B4:B9.
