1. INTRODUCTION
This report provides a comprehensive summary of my experiences and achievements
during my internship as an HR Intern at GGC PTA, held from October 17, 2024, to October
25, 2024. The primary goal of this internship was to offer practical exposure to core human
resource functions, including recruitment processes, employee engagement initiatives, and
day-to-day HR operations. Over the course of this seven-day program, I was able to deepen
my understanding of essential HR practices, actively contribute to team projects, and gain
hands-on experience in a professional environment. This report outlines the tasks and
responsibilities I managed during the internship, highlights the key learning outcomes, and
reflects on the valuable insights gained throughout my time with the organisation.

2. OBJECTIVES OF THE INTERNSHIP:

● Assisted in sourcing, collecting, and thoroughly screening candidate CVs for specific
job openings, ensuring alignment with job descriptions and organisational
requirements. This process provided hands-on experience with resume evaluation
criteria and familiarised me with key indicators of candidate suitability.
● Enhanced professional communication skills by managing direct correspondence with
candidates. This included initial outreach, responding to inquiries, and conducting
follow-up communications, all of which contributed to a positive candidate
experience and reinforced the organisation’s brand.
● Gained practical experience in the recruitment and selection cycle, learning to apply
interview techniques, evaluate candidate fit, and refine selection criteria. This
exposure was instrumental in understanding best practices for attracting and
onboarding top talent, as well as effectively promoting the organisation’s programs
and career opportunities to prospective candidates.
3. OVERVIEW OF TASK

Task 1: Marketing Pitch for Money Management Mastery Course

Script: “Master Your Finances, Secure Your Future

to guide you every step of the way, helping you to:

4. Strategically eliminate debt for lasting financial peace

Join our supportive community today and start creating the financial future you deserve!”

Target Audience: Friends, peers, and family members looking to take control of their
finances and invest in long-term financial well-being.

Task 2: HR Task - Resume Collection and Candidate Tracking

Task Description:
As part of the resume collection process, I utilized social media and personal networks to
gather candidate CVs and create an organized system for tracking applicant information.
Using Microsoft Excel, I developed a structured spreadsheet to log key applicant details,
which helped streamline the recruitment workflow and ensured efficient access to relevant
information throughout the process.

Methods Employed:

1. Leveraging Personal Networks for Candidate Sourcing:


To maximize reach, I utilized my personal connections and word-of-mouth referrals
to inform potential candidates about available opportunities. By tapping into these
networks, I was able to increase the pool of applicants and target individuals who
could benefit from the course.
2. Organizing Applications in Excel:
I created detailed Excel spreadsheets to categorize and track applicants efficiently.
The spreadsheet included columns for essential information such as candidate names,
contact details, relevant qualifications, and application status. This system streamlined
the sorting and reviewing of resumes, helping to quickly identify candidates who met
the minimum qualifications.
3. Resume Review and Preliminary Screening:
Each CV and cover letter was reviewed to assess basic qualifications and ensure
alignment with the course's requirements. This pre-screening step helped narrow
down the pool to individuals who best matched the course criteria, enabling a more
focused selection process.
4. Candidate Communication via WhatsApp:
For effective candidate engagement, I utilized WhatsApp to communicate with
applicants directly. In these conversations, I introduced the course, outlined its
benefits, and answered any initial questions, fostering a positive candidate experience.
I also used this opportunity to request CV submissions, ensuring candidates
understood the course's offerings and had a clear pathway for applying.

4. Learning Outcomes

team's overall productivity and success.

■ Acquired hands-on knowledge about the recruitment cycle, from
sourcing and screening candidates to reviewing CVs and conducting
initial evaluations.

organization's requirements.

■ Gained an understanding of internal HR protocols, compliance
measures, and best practices.
■ Learned the importance of confidentiality, fairness, and ethics in the
recruitment process.

particularly in recruitment and selection.
○ Strengthened my confidence in handling professional responsibilities,
contributing to my preparedness for future roles in the field.

5. Conclusion

My internship at GGC PTA was an enriching experience that provided me with invaluable
hands-on exposure to professional HR practices. The opportunity to engage with real-world
recruitment and hiring processes allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical
setting, enhancing my understanding and skills.

Through this internship, I developed key competencies, including communication, problem-


solving, and process optimization. I also gained a comprehensive understanding of
recruitment strategies and HR policies, equipping me for a successful career in human
resources.

I am deeply grateful for the mentorship and support provided by the GGC PTA team, who
created a welcoming and professional learning environment. I highly recommend GGC PTA
as an excellent organization for anyone seeking to grow their skills and gain valuable
experience in HR.
