Self-faced Learning – students can accomplished their task at a very convenient time and availability.
Numerous programs and course offerings – now a days daghan jud kaau offered na courses online
and same lang pod ang ka standard sa face to face.
Increase employability – those employers nga nagneed og mga certificates thru distance learning
possible na kaau.
Back-up during calamities & emergencies – year 2020 til 2022 when the COVID 19 hits our country,
nagpatupad og lockdown so going to school is not possible, distance learning lang ang way for the
students na magpatuloy sa pag-aaral.

High chances of distraction – syempre dili man jud malikayanan if naa lang sa balay daghan tao og trabaho so madistract
jud unlike sa room nga focus lang.
Hidden costs – tinuod jud ni kay kailangan man mopalit pa og laptop for online class or cellphone and plus the internet.
Access to technology – if walay gamit like cellphone or laptop dili dili pod makaapil sa distance learning nga online class.
Compromised quality – disadvantage ni because dili tanan mahibaloan thru distance learning sometimes makalearn thru
performance.
Problems on the network – not all the students can access good internet connections, since activities done online lisod
jud kaau magcomply.
Production of materials and resources – specially kung naay calamities unya dili makaprint og dali2x sa mga materials
labi na og brownout.

Asynchronous – ikaw lang makabuot when nimu e access ang gihatag na activities sa teacher but within lang sa gihatag
nga due date sa teacher.

- Educational Television & radios – radios is very useful specially on the far-flung areas that internet is not possible. this
are technologies that air and broadcast programs, lessons and other educational task.

When we say ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING


- it is self-directed and self-paced
- does not require the students to be virtually present
- it is conducted using the following modality
a. Modules – usually they are printed copies nga mura og libro ipadala sa mga students. Gamit kaau ni kadtong
panahon sa COVID. Ang mga students nagmodule ra
while staying at home.
b. Web-based course – uploaded courses and lessons on the internet.
c. Video and Audio Tapes – this are a materials that are pre-recorded by Instructors giving discussions and
presentations. This is useful for the students who have no time to join the scheduled meetings or have sufficient access
to the internet.

RELEVANCE AND APPROPRIATENESS IN THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING
Selecting Technology for Teaching is very crucial because isa ni sa makapapukaw sa ilang mga interest to learn the
lesson, and kung maganahan na cla maging active pod na sila sa klase and dili pod sila maboring.

Things to consider in selecting instructional materials based on appropriateness and feasibility.


1. The principle of appropriateness – Does it meet the standards?(the general and specific goals sa subject) and
kailangan appropriate pod sa intended level. Kung grade 1 pa kailangan pang grade 1 pod.
2. The principle of authenticity – Ang material accurate ba? Up-to date pod ba siya? And the information of the
material dependable ba?
3. The Principle of cost (economy) – ang mga student makaaford ba? Og ang kantidad katumbas ba sa quality sa
materyales?
4. The principle of interest – ang mga materyales ba eye catching or makapukaw ba sa interest and curiosity sa
mga students?
5. The principle of organization and balance – organized and balance ba ang instructional materials? Ang purpose is
clearly stated ba?
Kailangan e consider ang 5 na mga ito to extend our best teaching and to ensure the learning of our learners.
