Assignment Submission Guidelines (UG & PG)

1. The first page should contain the title of the assignment, course name, student name,
enrolment number, semester and department of the student.
2. The main body of the assignment should be divided into sub-headings. The headings
should be aligned to the left.
3. The assignment should be written on A4 size paper with a decent and plain margin (not
more than 1 inch on each side).
4. The assignment should have a word count of no more than 800. All pages, excluding
the title page, should have page numbers inscribed on them. The title page is understood
to be ‘1’ but no number appears on the page.
5. All tables and figures like charts, graphs, diagrams, photographs, etc. used in the
assignment (if any) should be numbered and a caption should be positioned at the top
of the table.
6. The assignment should contain a reference list of the books and other materials referred
to when writing the assignment.
7. Brighter artwork and beautification of the assignment are not appreciated. Submission
of assignments in file covers are not necessary.
8. The assignment should be submitted by the due date. Late assignments will not be taken
into consideration.
