Cal Door also provides the same exact match for all your accessories such as crown, scribe and base moldings. Cal Doors Match-Mate is a perfect solution to previous mismatching problems! Prepare surface as you would to apply a highpressure laminate product. Be sure all surfaces are smooth, dry and free from dirt, dust, oil, loose paint, wax, grease and like contaminants. When routing, be sure routing bit roller is clean, welllubricated and free of debris that could possibly mark or damage the product. Some installers recommend a bearing-less router or nylon bearing style router bit. Finish up the corners and edges with a sharp le. Be sure not to pull the le backwards (against the product) or le in a back-and-forth motion. This can cause the product to chip or pull away from the backing. Always le in one direction, away from the product, in smooth, even strokes. A sanding block with 200-grit sandpaper is a good alternative to a le. Our same RTF Warranties apply.

FAQ
Material Information & Characteristics
PLYWOOD MATERIALS: All plywood is A-1 with MDF Core.
General Information
All prices are per square foot, gured to the nearest 1-100th of an inch. Doors are manufactured to the nearest 1/16 of an inch. If you require EXACT SIZING, we suggest you order NS (No Shape) or order your doors 1/16 oversize. You can trim and t to the desired size. Doors over 22 wide or over 48 high or Drawer Fronts over 22 wide or 8 high are not guaranteed against warping, twisting, or cracking. Custom Tooling: Applications must be priced and quoted prior to production. We make every effort with our select and premium materials to minimize mineral streaks, pitch pockets, and pin knots. If they appear it is not considered a defect.
RUSTIC MATERIALS: All rustic materials will have heart, and sap (depending on wood species), mineral, random knots and cluster knots. Please refer to our catalog for better clarication. Use F-Panel application for inset doors. CHERRY: Material will naturally darken, sometimes drastically, when exposed to sun and natural light. This may be enhanced with light and clear nished and is not considered a defect. NATURAL CHERRY: Will have sap in machined areas with small amounts continuing on face, color variation, pitch pockets, pin knots, small and or large pieces on mineral. RECOMMEND MEDIUM TO DARK STAIN. NATURAL MAPLE: Will have color variation, heartwood, small and or large pieces of mineral. RECOMMEND MEDIUM TO DARK STAIN. PAINT GRADE MAPLE: Will have a large color variation and mineral streaks being acceptable. Glue ups for solid panels will have large and small pieces. PAINT GRADE DOORS: We recommend the use of MDF panels. Any requests for paint grade doors with wood panels carry no warranty or guarantee of any kind. LYPTUS: Color will vary from the reds to light brown. We do not stock plywood due to the color variation. Use F-Panel application for inset doors. AFRICAN MAHOGANY: Color will vary from the light to dark red. We do not stock plywood due to the color variation. Use F-Panel application for inset doors. FINISHING INFORMATION: We recommend all doors to be treated with a pre-sealer, especially when using medium to dark nishes, to prevent blotchy or uneven nishing. You will need to perform extra sanding steps when using darker stains or glazing applications.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS THAT REQUIRES YOUR SPECIAL ATTENTION
Because of its nature, wood will expand and contract. Changes in temperature, humidity and other conditions produce wood movements. Wood is like a sponge, even when nished it will pick up moisture and easily expand in mountain and coastal regions causing wood to warp, twist or crack. It will dry out and easily shrink in desert regions causing wood to warp, twist or crack. Consequently, proper precautions must be taken during storing, handling and nishing operations. You may need to perform extra sanding steps when using darker stains or glazing applications. To preserve and enhance the quality and beauty of our un-nished wood products we strongly recommend nishing and sealing of doors in a very timely manner. Unnished wood needs protection from moisture and from extreme uctuations in temperature and humidity. Construction sites may vary in temperature as much as 30 to 50 degrees from day to night, causing warping, twisting or cracking of unnished doors within 24 hours. Even nished doors will do the same. Before doors are delivered, have all windows and exterior doors in place and bring the house to occupancy level conditions. Make sure all new drywall and plaster has had at least 2 weeks to dry. Many jobs are nished on site, where doors are not removed from the cabinet prior to nishing. This causes unnished top rails on upper cabinets and unnished bottom rails on lower cabinets. This allows moisture to be absorbed through the unnished portion of the door, causing warping, twisting or cracking.
CALIFORNIA DOOR CORPORATION WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE DUE TO THESE SITUATIONS. THESE ARE NOT CONSIDERED A DEFECT.

GUARANTEE
Products must be inspected upon receipt. Our guarantee covers the replacement of doors and drawer fronts in an un-nished state and in good condition, as originally delivered F.O.B. from our factory. Any variation from our normal construction specications is not guaranteed, i.e., reducing the thickness of the panel or frames. A warp or twist of 3/16" of an inch or less is not considered a defect. A twist is measured by placing the face of the door against a true plane surface. Doors are manufactured to the nearest 1/16th of an inch. California Door Corporation will not be held responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control (i.e. obstruction or blockage of usual routes of transportation, unavoidable accidents, riots, natural disasters, vehicle shortages, prevention of labor, power shortages or lack of materials.) There are no other warranties of any kind expressed or implied.
