    Indication Prevention and control of nausea and vomiting

    Contraindication Dose Contraindicated 5mg IVTT in patient with q6h hypersensitivity to anticholinergic drugs, glaucoma, stenosing peptic ulcer.

    Mode of Action Anticholinergic effect is unknown. Antiemetic action may be mediated by interference with cholinergic impulses to the vomiting center.

    Side effects CNS: pupil dilation, photophobia, blurred vision, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, restlessness. CV: palpitation, tachycardia GI: dry mouth, constipation.

    Nsg responsibility Proper hydration to prevent hyperpyrexia. Avoid hot environment because the patient may suffer from heat intolerance. Avoid gastric irritant food such as spices, caffeine. Report eye pain and rash to AP.

    Indication Acute diarrhea wi th duration of 14 days due to infection, drugs or poisons. Chronic or persistent diarrhea with duration of >14 days.

    Contraindication Contraindicated to imunnocompromi sed patients.

    Dose 1 vial BID

    Mode of Action Contributes to the recovery of microbial flora altered during the course of microbial disorders of divers origin. Promotes normalization of intestinal flora.

    Classification: Antidiarrheal

    No side effects have been reported, up to the present time, with the use of Drug may be the drug given before or after meals.

    Nsg responsibility shake the drug well before administration.

    Monitor Bowel sounds and stool.
