Who is responsible for fixing our bike corral if it is damaged during winter plowing?
Maintenance of bicycle corral is the responsibility of the applicant. If the corral is damaged during snow removal, contact the Mayors Office of Transportation and Utilities for advice on repair. In certain cases, the City may have the ability to repair or replace the corral. Just a reminder: bicycle corrals will not be installed on streets that have winter snow emergency clearance regulations in place. A list of these streets is found at the end of this document.
How many bikes can I expect to fit on the bike parking corral?
The bike corrals will have 6 hoops each, storing a total of 12 bikes safely.
Do these bike corrals accommodate extra-long bikes like tandems and recumbents?
Parking tandems and recumbents in these spaces is not recommended as these bikes may protrude into the roadway or the sidewalk.
In the event that someone abandons a bike on my corral, what steps can I take to remove it?
Contact Aaron Ritz at the Mayors Office of Transportation and Utilities for information on removing abandoned bicycles.
